Hi All!
I was an active member back in the day on chiptalk.net, but I see that it sadly has gone the way of the dodo.
I used to have a weekly, 2 table tournament game at my house back during the Hold 'Em golden years (early-mid '00s). After playing in a few cash games (at home and casinos), I found I much prefer it, abandoned the tourney play and have been sporadicaly having smaller (6-8 player) cash games at my house ever since.
Before Covid, I finally had a good group of regulars and we were almost playing weekly. Then Covid hit and put the brakes on. With the end (sort of) in sight, I've been really jonesing to get the game back up and running and have been thinking about upgrading my lowly set of plastic chips. Went to hop on Chiptalk to see what is out there these days, and ended up here.
Looking at getting some china clays and just ordered some samples from Apache (glad to see they are still around!); Milano, Pharaohs, Majestic, Dunes. Looking to get about a 700 piece set.
