Canadian cards mold group buy interest? (1 Viewer)

Maybe different edgespot for the 1k. The 1, 5, and 25 have 1/4 spots. Maybe have the 1k have edgespot similar to the 100 and 500.

Perhaps the same thing for 5k, 25k, and 100k. Have similar (but progressive) edgespot designs.

Yeah edgespots is not my strong suit. There's a bit of a progression along the whole set, but it's hard to do that with 9 chips. I might even add a quarter chip as well.

My thought process was 1/4 spots for the first 3, then the $100 goes form 6 spots to 8, but from 1/4 to 1/8. The T500 to T1k isn't the best transition, but then it flows into the rest of the spots I think...

I might even just swap the T25k and the T1k edge spots for better flow.

How would the $1000 look with 6DSA18? Too busy? There would then be a progression of 4 to 5 to 6.

Then reset at 5k with another change in spot pattern and progress in complexity up to 100k. Although not too sure what would work...

If you can avoid the taxes and the shipping price from China is right I would be IN for a small order. I screwed one of my 43mm chip design in the previous gb so I would have some of those as well.

Any chance at denoms on the round edge around the chip?

No avoiding taxes unfortunately. For an order of this value, duties and taxes will both apply. But, I might be able to get the shipping cost down using my own logistics carrier rather than having them ship it out.

I'd rather not. I'm not a fan of that style.

Are you doing this to offer an in-house chip to sell along with your tables? Or is this going to be replacements for the rental business?

It's going to be just chips for sale. I get inquiries about chips from time to time and never have any available for sale. I think this fits the bill since most of my non-PCF customers just want something cheap that's not dice chips.

Although they would be a nice replacement for my rental chips, especially the weight reduction, I've invested quite a bit into those chips already so I'll be keeping them indefinitely unless I'm able to get a substantial upgrade.

That could work. I'll try putting that together into a mock up and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion.

FWIW this is the same company that did the Scrub Donkey chips. The SD chips were on the textured plain mold. The cards mold chips are “untextured” (there is no textured cards mold) but still definitely have some texture and grippiness. It’s actually really difficult to tell the difference between the textured and untextured plain mold chips from this maker as has been discussed in other threads and I can verify myself.

Also, these are 9.8g

Now I'm reassured there is no sugar in my chips... oufff thx @Eloe2000 !!! :p

I’m potentially interested if designs are close to what I’m looking for.
What’s a realistic cost estimate after all shipping and taxes though?

Sorry but this is on the backburner for me. I have a ton of projects on the go and can't really commit the time for this right now.

I'm hoping to pick it up in a month or two.

is it just limited to the cards mold? I'm highly interested but I skipped previous ones because of the cards mold being meh to me

I'd be interested in adding on to my existing set if this happened. Only a few hundred chips however.

Mine including combined shipping from China and reshipping from the US to Canada, was about $0.44 CAD per chip.

Would you be dealing with the first Cards Mold Supplier or the second one that Raphmivey ordered in the group buy I participated in? I'd give a big shout out to the producer of my chips and I wouldn't mind a 25k chip.

Pinsol13 pulled off some magic with my order and honestly the shipping rate I paid was likely much lower or equal than i'd have paid with Canada Post Domestically.

I would be OK running a round 2 if the chosen manufacturer is Anita, since I already have the relationship and now know how they work. We could team up if you want. If going with Tina I would participate too as mentioned previously but would not be 'responsible' of anything.

So how shall we revive this thread for some add-on's, new stuff, I'd like to explore some plaque and or 43mm/other options for blind buttons etc...

Do we have a seller for Alibaba Plaques?

For additional chips, there's an interest thread here. https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cards-mold-group-buy.75739/

Tina sells plaques. I tried to order some samples with my order that should be shipping any day now. She said they are out of samples and it would delay my order but Sean has some headed his way.

Those plaques look great actually. do they have a design template or list of colour options like with the chips?
