Didn’t even care to entertain this thread but BGinGA is not a new comer and knows the chip game well. There is NO interest at all, since the days of home poker tourney and Chiptalk the only shot at a custom “Paulson” like set was BCC. I’ve tried with a GPI Canadian rep here long ago. You need an alcohol and gaming license, incorporation, physical casino or plans to build and has to be followed through and it’s easier to get here than in USA as he told me. I think you’re being kind to even respond to non sense after clarifying. 1000 chips per denom is minimum not one million. They don’t care about your money or your wants or loyalty. Hope this clears up garbage.

You’re welcome to answer me, however I think you should take these guys words for it, learn and continue your chipping, it’s encouraged, It’s garbage to me as years of ordering Paulsons has been stated before. It’s kinda like a broken record for me and others. I got to point where I tried as you see (and got close) because I am aboriginal and could get license to do charity gaming once the rights are equal among all natives, then, we are talking. For Paulson chips, the Top Hat and Cane mold marking meets those requirements. Chipco used to print CI on their chips, Bud Jones chips usually have BJ printed on the label, Every chipmaker that is licensed to sell in Nevada has a unique mark or marks that they use for chips destined for that market.

Dave, not disagreeing with you here, but I am genuinely curious. On a house mold chip such as the Mandalay Bay $1, what would the manufacturers mark be? I know on some of their other denoms they print the H/C on the inlay or have the tiny "dot" that says Paulson, but I don't see anything on the $1.

Check the inlay using black light -- I suspect that it's on there in UV ink.

This is exactly the case. GPI USA actually states in their marketing pitch to casino owners that they will not make chips for the retail market, making their chips more secure. It is stated on their site.

The boat chips and a couple of others were highly unusual and in at least one of those cases, GPI got duped rather elaborately.

At the same time, their market for licensed casinos is getting larger, while the home market is much smaller than when they were in.

Their choice, from a business standpoint, is a simple one. Make one casino official happy and sell maybe half a million units, or deal with 10,000 home game players emailing daily.

I never knew this. Makes sense though. As others have brought up though, I imagine some kind of UV marking would be present on any house mold chips if there is no RHC or THC mold to mark the chips as Paulsons.

That being said, when GPI acquired BCC and it's assets (which I assume included all non hat and cane molds like the SGK, MGK, Web, Suits mold, and others that many BCC chips were made on), none of those have seen the light of day since. Do you think that they are just being buried because they don't fit the trademark requirements that lots of states have? Lots of casinos are using house molds if not the RHC or THC molds.

You don't have to answer this here (you can PM though if you'd like), but the BCC assets (molds, cups, etc) seem like a no brainer to be able to either use elsewhere (the home market) or sell off to CPC or elsewhere for more cash. Are they really concerned about the competition if they have a relative monopoly on the casino industry? I can't imagine too many casinos are using CPC or ceramics from elsewhere to manufacture their chips. Sunfly is also around, sure, but not enough to be a threat.

FWIW, I was part of a small group last year that contacted someone within GPI that inquired about potentially using the old BCC molds to manufacture some new fantasy chip lines to sell to the home market using the Paulson colors and materials to make the chips. It was mentioned in passing by the contact to some of the GPI higher ups and was shut down rather quickly. It's just not a profitable enough venture to go back into the home market to them. We tried to get a sense of a number of chips that may make them reconsider and didn't get an answer. It never hurts to send another inquiry, but I feel like the answer this year, as well as the next, and in the foreseeable future, will be the same.
