So I am brand new to the world of chip collecting. But I do have a decade of dealing/flooring under my belt. Maybe that could help add some value to the forum. I could try to answer any poker questions you may have. Rulings/decisions. Anything about poker.

What all games did you work?

Have you ever busted a high roller/VIP cheating?

Or maybe a couple of Cubans?
No. Not much cheating in a low limit poker room. A couple people tried to play teams, players noticed and complained. But they were generally so bad at it, there was nothing to stop. I did hear of a couple biggies out in table games. Past posting bets on roulette was one. A bunch of counters. And when we had a war table, this guy was able to mark the cards for a couple days and get away with it somehow. lol.

poker. mostly low limit games. 1-3 and 2-5

is this some kind of weird hazing ritual for new guys? lol. Or are people trying to say keep my posts to poker ships only cuz no one cares about the other stuff. haha

Nothing to do with you ;) Just the ongoing jokes on this forum.

I am sure people will be interested to pick your brain.

ps. I would avoid discussion of poker ships specifically.

Hi Casino

This is a bit of a brutal into to the forum. Hang in there, actually lots of humor in this thread already but its all a bit dry.

Yes there are always conversations about rulings. Sadly they always boil down to 1 thing - the people who ask don't have a set of rules.

I still find it amazing how many people hold games but don't have rules. o_O You're asking for drama without them.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Welcome, hope you enjoy finding us. We do get a little giddy from time to time and thread jacking is fairly common, but hope you still like the forum.

A lot of us are hosts and would often post about ruling questions, however those sorts of threads have disappeared with the reduction in live games, unfortunately.

But if you look back in the home games forum, you may find those types of threads if you are interested.

Welcome to the forum!

I have a legit question, probably answered already somewhere at PCF but I'd like to hear your view in it.

Forward motion. If I move some chips a tiny bit forward it doesn't count as a bet in NL. If I move them forward a lot it does count as a bet. When you have been dealing, where did you draw the line?

E.g., there's the famous incident at WSOP where someone clearly bet then pulled back and the ruling was that he didn't move the chips far enough for it to be counted as a bet.

Thats why a lot of tables (at least that I have played on) have a "betting line". Its basically a race track circle, but only in paint. Bets aren't actually made until chips cross that line Same with cards. If you fold, your cards go across the line.
