Use PayPal FF, not an issue but I always tell people pay the fee associated with using your credit card and just take advantage of purchase protection if you have it. Covers damaged, lost, and vandalized goods when applicable. Works like a charm.
This continues to be great advice. Knock on wood, I haven't had a problem here, but if I do, I'll dispute the charge with the credit card company and that's worked out way quicker than the PayPal resolution system.

Use your credit card for large purchases through PayPal and thank me later.

This is the THIRD time something like this has happened with this user. When is enough enough? I have watched this thread and not said anything because I know the floggers will come out in force. “Just wait a few months.” “Something could be going on in his life.” “Just be patient.” The other times this has happened, there has been one excuse after another. There is absolutely no excuse (unless you buy off on the last BS excuse he gave before) to be logged on and not respond.

There is a lot of trust that is given with all the transactions that take place here. One bad egg can ruin it for a lot of people. This shouldn’t happen once, let alone three times now. I feel for you guys that are in limbo. Best of luck to you.

If the 7 Jack roulette racks never show up from Jeff's side, I at least feel better knowing that I already got the previous 7 racks ordered before the disappearing act.

Going to have to agree with what was said here using an example of the worst kind of circumstances on personal side. My cousins in California recently experienced a couple of unexpected deaths in the family (non-covid related), one of which is considered a freak accident. The direct family members of the people who passed have resumed normal life albeit grieving their loss of a loved one. Work calls have resumed, meetings have resumed, road trips for work have resumed, everything. God forbid this is the kind of thing that Jeff is dealing with but I used it as an example to say that even under the harshest circumstances, he owes people answers. Doesn't matter if it's directly via his own inbox or through someone else, it's been long enough and you should at least let people know the status. If you're critically ill, completely ignore this and anything else that's been mentioned in this thread. Health comes first. However if you're not, people need to hear from you. Enough is enough already.

“He told me that he got about half of the packages sent out yesterday, and is trying to get the rest out this afternoon.”
Has anyone gotten anything? I haven’t. Perhaps knowing that someone is getting packages after this statement will alleviate some possible hostilities.
if no one has gotten a package and that statement from him was a lie, then why lie...

I’m sorry guys, this sucks. As a new chipper I had a relatively poor transaction with Jeff where I sent $600+, didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks and then had to send several pms to get him to respond and eventually send me the chips. All was good in the end but he gave me a real scare. Maybe I should’ve posted negative feedback but I decided not to since he seemed like a cool dude and has been very friendly. Figured then he made a one time mistake.

I think the negative feedback is waaay under used. Seems most (myself included) only post for the good transactions and don’t post feedback at all on the negative ones to avoid being confrontative.

When I buy something on here I always pay right away and when I sell something I always send everything as soon as I possible can. And if that isn’t the next available business day I communicate that. It really shouldn’t be that difficult and thankfully most that I have made deals with have done that.

I think we can all agree that communcating is key. Stuff can happen that will cause delays but not communicating to your buyers about it is simply unacceptable. Especially in this case since he clearly has been logged on since. I don’t care how good of a dude one might be or how many respectable members one has vouching for you. Fucking communicate!

Same situation that I encountered. Went MIA for a few days, said he posted it already but couldn’t give the tracking number. He eventually sent it after a few days and the receipt timestamp didn’t tally with what he said originally.

I eventually received the chips so I didn’t leave a neutral/bad review

I’ve dealt with Jeff three times now and all three were the times he “disappeared”. This time, even though I only have $15 out, is the last straw for me. He seems like a really cool dude so I haven’t made a big deal about it since the chips eventually showed up but the fact that he is logging on and not letting people know what’s up is unacceptable. Unless something is seriously wrong I expect everyone will get there chips but I won’t be buying anymore from him in the future.

The feedback feature is really useless, unfortunately. Too many people are afraid to post of their negative dealings, which I understand. I left a negative feedback for him, and he was somehow able to get the mods to take it off. If everyone from his past shady dealings would have left negative feedback, I don’t think anyone would trust doing business with him, and that would save a lot of people a lot of problems. I’m guessing there are numerous people that have absolutely no clue how shady he has been throughout his short time here. It’s disgusting he continues to behave like this.

yes I have me Amex and bank account in PayPal and always forget change it and just take 3% hit.

wow if that’s real life then maybe the admin can reimburse the members for this mess. If they’re really able to remove feedback that is in place to protect us. That’s shady as f.

Yup, well worth it.

Little clarification also for those that go with this approach. There's a big difference between putting in a claim and using purchase protection. Putting in a claim and getting it decided in your favor results in the money basically being yanked away from the merchant, or in this case the individual you purchased it from. Making a claim using the purchase protection benefit is basically a 3rd party insurance company that the credit company works with that issues payment for something that you can claim under their conditions. If the claim is approved and issued, money is given to you from that insurance company and it's the payment itself isn't reversed or removed from the merchant's account.

Yeah...same feeling here.

I had nothing but excellent dealing for over 10 years (one scare with LNW on CT but that got sorted).
In those days I would agree that most if not all members got a lot of slack when things went slow or silent...posting public about it was not taken lightly.

Today we are with a family that is over 10 (ten) times as big...I think everyone should post out about problems with sellers & buyers.
But that is not happening because everyone wants that perfect record....

Well not me...I posted out about a reneg and

1. 'support' from the regs was light to say the least....more like I was a drama queen
2. got a negative feedback in return
3. mods did nothing except they did not allow me posting screenshots from PM's to call out a liar

So now...my best chips will NEVER hit the classifieds and will only be sold to people I really know over here.

I left a negative feedback for him,and he was somehow able to get the mods to take it off
@Tommy -> how can feedback ever work if things like this keep popping up ?

Dibs on the Grand Cardrooms :D

I kid. You should never sell those, IMO.

I’ll just say this. Personally, I think he’s a stand up guy under some kind of extraordinary circumstances. He actually sent me money for a Samurai Sample but no address. I still have it here waiting to ship but I’ve had no contact.
But who knows?

The seller's friends are trying to be helpful to us which is completely appreciated, but everyone involved should make this very public with dignified and accurate negative feedback. If that content is removed the community can take it however they feel is appropriate. Even those close to the seller don't believe this situation is being handled properly. If this is truly the third time this has happened then no one should be taking any negative feedback down. Everyone should be given the opportunity to be warned of this kind of behavior.

I have already posted my take on the seller's privacy and that it could be handled in a tactful way with the seller's permission and received a dismissive response so I won't make a plea for anymore help from anyone that clearly knows more about the situation, but the way this situation has been handled has certainly tainted the image of this site (for me, not that I matter in the grand scheme of things). Which is a shame because this site has been 100% fantastic otherwise during my short involvement, but this... this is not acceptable. For a seller to have multiple situations like this under his belt and new members and others to not be aware of it (apparently due to an effort to dismiss the warnings), that's frustrating. Even if the situations were made right in the past people should be aware of this possibility when it is well-known by some in the community.

And yes, I understand no one on this site, moderators, friends of the seller, etc are responsible for the seller's behavior. No one should have to make right another member's mistake.

My last point is this... if health is the issue (and it may very well be given the state of our world) then a simple reassurance of not only the fact that the situation needs time, but the seller's health is stable is not a breach of anyone's privacy. In fact, it sounds as though for many, that it would be a considerate gesture that would alleviate concern for those that know him well... The fact that this simple gesture is not happening leads me to believe there may be something different happening and that is why I think many that are in limbo have the bad taste in their mouths that are being expressed as this situation drags out longer and longer. As I have said before, I do not mean to make an accusation, it is a simple reason why many are getting frustrated.

Dibs on best chips.
But should I die...you and @Dix can split all my decks

(outside) man jumps in passenger side of a black van with the white "CORONER" lettering, while 2nd man pulls rear doors closed from inside. Driver pulls away. (camera pans & follows van as it disappears down the street)

(cut to inside) oddly the body remains lying on the floor. (camera pans left) Previously seen racks of poker chips, stacks of card decks, & guitars are now all missing.

(cut to unidentified loading dock) Van is driven into a shipping container & loaded onto a nearby cargo ship.

(cut to local newspaper rack - visible headline reads: Local Authorities Puzzled by Missing Coroner's Office Vehicle - Possibly Stolen)

... Folks on PCF begin to wonder why no one has heard from @Dix, @JMC9389, or @Josh Kifer for nearly a week.

Look. I can appreciate that you are all frustrated. So am I. He owes me chips and he owes me money for dealer buttons. And he has been fairly specific with me outside of PCF about what’s going on in his life right now. But there is no way in hell I’m divulging that information publicly. If he wants to share that information, he can do so himself. I have shared what little information he has given me. Whether it’s true or not, I have no idea. But he’s always been straight with me until this, and I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. Do I want to be out a few hundred bucks? No. But it’s not the end of the world, either.
