Loved seeing the debate, and was really helpful to hear people’s thoughts. In my mind, this is where I’ve ended up with my fantasy set, some small tweaks, like the spot on the $5. Added a snapper as well.

You really do understand color... Part of your work, I assume? That tweak you made to the 5 completely changed how I perceive the chip, for the better. And yet it's such a small change that I as a layman could not begin to describe it. Well done.

I really like the snapper, too.

Ultimately, I’ve realized it’s all subjective; but as a first imaginary set, I’m thrilled with this one.

CPC does align the inlay image to the spots, with admirable precision and detail.
Paulson does not, AFAIK.

They occasionally have in the past, but it's pretty rare.

Yeah dude, this set is sick. Love every chip. Only concern would be that that color blue on the $1 and blurple on the $25 might be a little close. But I like every chip.

I put Blue Grain and Blurple side by side using the color sample sets, and they seem different enough, I think. Blurple reads pretty dark.

I put Blue Grain and Blurple side by side using the color sample sets, and they seem different enough, I think. Blurple reads pretty dark.

I stand corrected. I just put a strat $1 next to a purple solid and I don't see any issues with both being in a set.

It’s not a venture. Just me teaching myself how to think about chip color and spot progression. Won’t go anywhere past Photoshop. Maybe some custom ceramics.

Me too. But it tends to blow the load really quickly early on in the set making the use of IHC chips necessary for high denoms

If I were to do my own GPI buy I'd order a set with a small hotstamp. Then have them shaped milled with gear laminated shaped labels put in.

Fuck these modern crappy gloss inlays.
