2000 chip case (1 Viewer)

Guy who runs games in town uses one of these, seems like he likes them because he can take each tray out as needed, so for a given tourney, he'll bring 1000 chips and use extra trays to stage color ups and extra buy-ins, etc.

I’m even more intrigued now!

I sooooo need two of these. My wife is starting to complain about the number of cases I have.
Unfortunately I can’t find a place to buy, even if you want to try!

Hahahah...if you find a place you’re a better searcher than I!
Well. If eBay or Amazon does not have it....I guess it does not really exist. :)

If I do not find it soon, I'm going to contact the site you initially referenced. Have them contact me if they get some in stock.

Amazon was the same...listed but out of stock.

The one issue I have is if they stopped making them...there may be a valid reason why!

Bummer! Like I said though, maybe for a reason?

I don’t mind the weight if the quality can handle said weight.

Santa brought one of these in 2014(?). Came from gambler's warehouse. Best I can tell, they don't stock these any more.

The case looks better than it works. 2,000 chips are heavy - too heavy for the rollers to last very long. For "around the house" or "going to a meat-up" it is fine. but if you roll a full case around very long, I think the axel or wheel is going to break.

It is handy for tournament and multi-table cash games.

I bought one years ago and thought it was terrible. Very cheaply made. Not sure if it’s the exact same model, but I ended up throwing it out.

I also was pursuing these back when I joined... they seem perfect for larger sets... seems like the only place you can find them is that internalional Alibaba site but I think you have to order them in bulk for them to make them

I know they tray Idea is awesome and would be worth while but if you are ok with extremely heavy cases, we can fit 2100 chips triple stacked high in our Apache 4800 series cases from Harbor Freight.

The center case here can fir 3 more racks on the bottom right but those are triple stacked. If you want to double stack racks (1400 chips) you have to add about a 3/4" to 1" thick piece of foam so the top row if chips are pushing into the lid foam and keeping pressure on this chips so the don't come out of their racks.

I'm looking for this case in question for storage only. The Apache ones you listed here would fit my needs. I will look into these.

If you only want something for storage and not travel, why not fit something to your needs?

I needed something to use for storage, easy access during home games, and a place for the Shuffle Tech. I finally decided to mount casters on the bottom of a Home Depot kitchen cabinet. It currently is holding 2100 chips, 52 decks of cards and a shuffling machine.

Thanks @DrStrange ! That’s the feedback I was looking for!

same to you @TKEUofM!

@tabletalker7 - my goal actually was more at home storage. Given the price point, it seemed better than anything else I could do for the money.

@Ben8257 - I currently store the set in two of the Versa cases that hold 10 racks each. My very mild concern is the chips spending so much time ‘compressed’ in this setup. I could do a huge Apache case but it’d have the same concern. A single layer of chips with foam compressing would be one thing...but two, three (my five) is a lot more pressure?

For the record, I’m only trying to ensure no damage to a huge set of starbursts so all you starburst haters can move on:)

I have thought about doing this and given the current situation with the 2000 chip case....I will look deeper into doing this.

@tabletalker7 - I imagine that cost a bit more than $75ish?
I got the cabinet already assembled at home depot for $60, the casters were like $4 a piece, and I had wood in the garage to cut to make extra shelves (the cabinet only came with one). I had to spend a little more on mine to get one wide enough and tall enough for good use of the shuffle tech, you could save some money going narrower and shorter. Also, I got mine at tax time. Prices for kitchen remodel stuff always drop when people get their tax returns.

I love it. It rolls across the floor easily, gives me easy access to chips and the shuffling machine at the table, and you can easily customize this to serve any need you can come up with. I use a thick outdoor extension cord from the wall to a surge protector that I mounted on the back of it. People charge their phones with this cart while they play.

Good info either way though so thx!
