Snap buyI can’t agree with you there. Though I wouldn’t pay $10 apiece for them, I wouldn’t argue with somebody who wants to.
Chip prices have gotten to the point where anything goes. Seriously.
And as I’ve said before and I’ll say again, they’re not making any more leaded THCs. So if Cali colors are your thing and you like the inlay - I won’t argue with any price.
FYI I’m not positive these are leaded. CA cut out lead earlier than others. Don’t get me wrong these still have that old school feel, but they are surprisingly light. Considering blue is usually a heavy weight color.I can’t agree with you there. Though I wouldn’t pay $10 apiece for them, I wouldn’t argue with somebody who wants to.

I prefer shaped inlays, and I’d have a hard time paying a grand for a rack of solid fracs. But to each his own.Snap buy

I thought blue was a lighter colour? Maybe I'm misremembering.FYI I’m not positive these are leaded. CA cut out lead earlier than others. Don’t get me wrong these still have that old school feel, but they are surprisingly light. Considering blue is usually a heavy weight color.

Maybe it depends on the shade of blue. I have some dark blue leaded chips that are cinder blocks. But none of the giraffes are heavy. I believe Krish mentioned the year they were made to me and it was right around the cutoff for Cali leadI thought blue was a lighter colour? Maybe I'm misremembering.
I think the problem here is the $5s. There’s very few of them. Like a handful of racks?Look guys if you go to the dealership and you want to buy a Toyota don’t try to sell you a Kia? I showed the guy 30 other sets that are available for sale right now that are far less priced. Said he wants his dream set he’s not asking for a lot of chips. 600 chips. If guys have to hoard thousands of chips and can’t give up a couple hundred I sure hope they using them every night of the week because it just seems ridiculous to me not to ask. You guys are actually laughing at an offer that’s crazy to me for what reason. I run to PLO tables every week and don’t use 3000 chips. Maybe someone will sell a few.
This. Always has been the problem with breaking off multiple playable setsI think the problem here is the $5s. There’s very few of them. Like a handful of racks?
Yeah bro I just licked some poker chips you want me to show you someOk your def on drugs

Up for debate. Have had this conversation with many veteran chippers. Some chips have that old school feel/sound but then just don’t totally add up/align with the usual characteristics of leaded chips.Interesting.
You’ve owned them. You couldn’t tell by the sound? I know it’s tough to tell sometimes. But there’s definitely a sound of lead.

Even though they aren’t heavy, I still would put them towards the leaded side of things. The feel is still great.
I know I know I’m jkYeah bro I just licked some poker chips you want me to show you some
He is looking at you and your coffee table photos @JeepologyOffroad ! See what you did. They were much less impressive to me in person than what I was expecting based on the pictures people post. Before you spend $1000 a rack see if you can find a single somewhere to look at in person
Just chips. All love!!!I know I know I’m jk
Nothings impressive after looking at Jeeps setsHe is looking at you and your coffee table photos @JeepologyOffroad ! See what you did.
The rest were destroyed if I recall correctly. Buyer of the chips never paid up or something along those lines so the rest of the order was never delivered.I know WW posted some details on his research. I don't remember if he figured out and disclosed what denoms were out there. Isn't it true that there are still some out there, not in the fold, that we know of for sure? In that storage locker or something? Perhaps there are lots of $5s in there and they get brought into the fold.
The 20s? That chip doesn’t compare to the restThey were much less impressive to me in person than what I was expecting based on the pictures people post. Before you spend $1000 a rack see if you can find a single somewhere to look at in person
Gotta agree here. If money was no object and these were my jam - who cares what the value actually is.I can’t agree with you there. Though I wouldn’t pay $10 apiece for them, I wouldn’t argue with somebody who wants to.

I've had the .50s and $20 and I'm mainly referring to the inlay. The colors are awesome, but the inlay just didnt do it for me in personThe 20s? That chip doesn’t compare to the rest
Also had this talk with veteran chippers. Some of the old home line chips that you’d expect to heavy are not at all. Almost like it was a different formula. Exact same color chips side by side but the home line is lighter. Still have some of that feel, but weight isn’t there. Maybe just different runs on different days. Who knowsIn my honest opinion the Coke Giraffes feel exactly like the VLVs, which you say is leaded but I thought was not leaded. The coke giraffes, to me, feel closer to other THC paulson home chips. On the other hand the Sams Town $1s with the same colors as the Coke giraffes definitely feel heavier to me and handle and sound different to me more of what I think of as the leaded feel. Are the Sams $1s leaded?

Jeep I know you’re the trade master. I know your motto is you got to give to give. But for new or one time collectors that is a very difficult task. If a client who plays professional poker comes to me and asked me for a set he picks the one he wants he sets a price and I deliver it. There really isn’t much in between to work with. I am just brokering a deal for a friend. I suppose I could put all my chips out there on blast and say “I will trade all these chips up to $6000 or $10,000 or $100,000 worth in return for these chips” but that seems like a hard pill to swallow for someone who is just looking to buy a set before his next game. There are thousands of these chips out there. I’ll leave it at that. Usually when someone contacts me to buy a set for them it’s because they don’t want to deal with the hassle of it themselves. Not sure what the case is here but this is my man’s dream set he needs 600 he’ll probably own them the rest of his life. There are thousands of these chips out there. I really don’t know what else to say. I am also not a fan of direct messaging people I don’t know or have history with and asking for their chips. Like knocking on your door. Hey is your car for sale? I think if they wanted to sell they would run an advertisement. Then again maybe they would check the wanted ads.I’m not hating on the guy. Shoot your shot! I get it. We love what we love. There are some sets that all my chips would be on the table to trade for. Just offering some advice from someone who knows these chips and those involved!
