Hello fellow chip lovers! Im Michael from Slovakia, central Europe. With my friend we host a little poker tour in our fav bar. Before the quarantine we used to play once/twice a week (9-14people). We use the PokerStars ceramic chips for our tournaments and lately we started to set-up a cashgame after the Tournament. I wanted to buy chips especially for the cashgame. Clays of course and i wanted them with € Signs. There is noooooo way! I even had problems to order the “12star china clays” which actually didn’t match what I was seeking for. I studied restoring and conservating old art back in my school years. You have to learn and use whole lot of some decent old techniques, chemistry and materials to do that. So I decided to try to Use some of that knowledge and make some chips on my own. Its been like 3 months from the start and like 1000+ tests, tons of money and time aswell. I should have order Paulsons or CPCs instead but there is no going back now. There is still a long way ahead but i want to show you some of my work:
P.s.: nowerdays I am constructing a special lathe, to make the perfect Sharp edges and the Final 39mm diameter to each chip.

Neat. Just be careful using other peoples images without permission. At the very least note the source of the image. It may come off that you are claiming it is yours. I seen some of @David Spragg 's pics (from Classic Poker Chips) on that Instagram before. Good luck with your project.

Honestly WTF is going on here. When this is all said and done You will have to have spent 10-20x what it would have cost to have the professionals make them for you. Plus potential C&D letter from said professionals over the H mold. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.....unless time and money are not that important to you....then carry on

Whoah, sorry man... i never realised i can make somebody so Angry with this. Seems like I was wrong. Its just about my natural curiousity. I am also a drummer and i was building myself drums aswell in the past. I just love the challenge. But Yes, its easier to buy something. First i’ve tried but in our country is not that easy to buy clay poker chips... And the shipping from USA could nearly double the price aswell. I dont wanna sell these chips, i will give away some for my friends of course. Also is nice that i can make them custom and forever.

He has more balls than a circus clown. I, for one, applaud his efforts. He's enjoying his quarantine!

Good luck with this. That is indeed a great project. People on this forum are very strict about intellectual property. But I can understand that you had to start somewhere that looks good.

Have fun and keep posting :)

Thank you :)

Very cool, really good job! Exciting to follow your progress.

Pretty cool once you see it all and realize you’re not ripping anyone off. We commend everyone on this site when they build their own poker tables, bars, lights, humidors, etc., so I’m thinking many would commend you on a literal custom built chip set!

No idea what this looks like if you’re eventually able to sell, to who, and all that, but I would definitely like to buy a sample from you once it’s all said and done, maybe one of your first ever chips all the way to your finished/desired product.
