Hey everyone,

I hate to do this but I had some very unexpected medical expenses hit me this week so I am going to have to raffle off my Gangster Squad CPC cash set and my Grand Victoria Secondary Tourney set. (Anyone in the previous raffle I will transfer over here if you want or refund you).

A little bit of background on this debacle. I went to the ER this monday evening after dealing with terrible headaches, nausea, hand tremors, and rapid weight loss (25 lbs so far) for the last month. They drew blood and found that I have hyperthyroidism. Between the ER visit and the subsequent hospital visits this week (3 so far) for testing and scanning I have $6200 in out of pocket medical expenses (my deductible). Unfortunately The best health insurance I could afford (self employed) was a plan with a $6200 deductible before it covers anything. I don't have anywhere near that much money so I'm putting up these chips for raffle in the hopes to gain enough money to pay my deductible.

Update: Seeing if we can get this raffle completed without putting my Gangster Squad Chips up.

This seemed like a popular idea with Tommy's raffle so I'll give it a shot.

Anyone that purchases two or more entries will also be entered into a side raffle. Every two that you purchase will give you one entry into this side raffle. The winner of this raffle will be chosen with the lottery numbers from the day after the main raffle numbers. Additional Prize for the secondary lot thanks to @Tommy and @Seeking Alpha Social Club will be a CPC Rounders replica sample set of chips!

Damn, I'm sorry hear about that. Hopefully you get what you need soon without too large of a setback.

Suggestion: add a poll to the thread so it doesn't get bombarded with response votes.
 
If I win, you keep the Gangster Squad chips. But I'd auction off the GVs. I don't really have an interest in these chips, but I'm on board with helping you out for $40. As long as that's ok, I'm in.

Shit!!! Never put that word in a thread." Before but When a brother is in need there is no reason for anyone to gain from a brothers misfortune. I will donate $$$ to the cheese fund with no drawing for the chips. Who is with me? You know it will come back to you in other ways.

I'll send $20 and challenge others to do the same. Hopefully there is enough collected so he does not have to auction the gangster squad chips. Who is with me?

I'm in for $40.

My wife was diagnosed 15 years ago with hyperthyroidism, she was going to med school at the time and would be up at 2 in the morning cleaning the house unable to sleep. She really thought she was going bat shit crazy with all the symptoms. She is perfectly normal now (well other than being bat shit crazy enough to be married to me), she does take synthroid every day, occasionally misses with no ill effects.

And you keep your chips

This community continues to amaze me with how generous its members are. I truly appreciate everyone's help and generosity.

It seems like most of you would have me keep my customs if you win the raffle. Would there still be interest in this raffle if I just removed my customs and kept it as a raffle for the Grand Victoria's and Horseshoe 25k's plus the sample sets. I also have 5 of each denomination of Grand Victoria's as spares I'd be happy to throw in. Also the Horseshoe Primary sample set, Even Steven sample set, and 20x Scandia 500's I could throw in as well.

If you've already committed but don't want to if the Gangster Squads are off the table I totally understand and will remove your name from the list.

It seems to be a fairly common disease. My mom was diagnosed with it a few years back (but never told me about it) and she just told me my grandma had it too. Supposedly its more common in females so I guess I just got unlucky. Thank you for advice, its nice to hear from others that have experience with it too and thank you for the kindness with the chips.
