My first RHC relabel set (1 Viewer)

Hey guys

After collecting some ideas and buying stuff together i'm slowly starting the project.

At TCR's black friday sale i was able to get my first Paulson chips. I bought 300 Jumers $1 and totally fell in love with how they look.

The plan is them beeing my 50c workhorse chip in a €0.10/0.50/2/10 set with untraditional colors.

Then i startet checking out the classifieds like once in a hour. Trying to find perfekt chips for the line up.
Out of a sudden @arch3r offered a rack of Casino Aztar snappers.

I thought they would be great €0.10 chips so i almost instantly bought them and he kindly was letting me use him as my reshipper.

Some time went by and i was searching for more RHC chips to fit the lineup. I found @casinochipper22 s Sycuan $1 and thought they were close enough so i bought a rack for a new 10c option and bought a second rack of the Aztar snappers to now let them be my €2.

All thats left was a option for the €10 chips...
I went back and fourth with some thoughts and found exactly what i was looking for.
Imho the Jack Cincinatti primary $2 is the most beautiful RCH chip i've seen. It took a while, but i found a rack. Thank you @ATLarchip !!
And then i thought i need a €50 chip. This one will never hit the felt, but the set feels more complete with it so i got myself a barrel of Indiana Grand primary $100 from @Raphmivey

These Chips are still at @arch3r s places, but will make the journey to germany soon.

Now, with the latest TCR sale i got myself a rack of Diamond Jacks $5 to swap out the Sycuan $1 because now i got 2 blue chips in my lineup, which would have worked but felt wrong.

I call my "club" The Basement for obvious reasons:

Its the bar in my basement.


Thanks to @Buge there are already some Cutcards in the making.

It's a very simple design but i love it.

I've lasered some seating cards and nit game cards.

Last thing to do is to design labels for the chips. I'm relatively new to inkscape and Illustrator, but i did some concept artwork:

I'm already happy with the results but i think this was to fast. There must be something to improve.

Already have talked about the cigar thing with some of the german members. I will Change that to one, but i am not sure about the positioning.

The 300 Jumers $1 are already murdered. Took about a week with 40-80 per evening.

Some changes on the Inlay. Went for a gray backround to soften it a little bit up. Thrown out one cigar. still not sure about the position of the whiskey and cigar tho....

Have you considered an offset denom? Something like this might work with the whiskey/cigar since it isn’t symmetrical. Just an idea to play around with.

I think it could look really good. The whiskey and cigar are a little overwhelming up top and centered IMHO. It feels like it should be an accent to the inlay and slightly smaller than the denom.

Today the Chips finally arrived

The Sycuans will be replaced with the Diamond Jacks $5.

Now i can start murder the rest of the chips.

The label is still not ready yet. But theres No need to hurry. I'm broke anyways after all these purchases...

It’s starting to look really cluttered again. “The basement” is getting swallowed up by the glass and denom in your newest mock-up. Too close to each other. There needs to be more separation

Can you smoke cigars in your basement? Maybe just the whiskey glass? With some playing cards? Cigar takes up a lot of space.

I like this one but the glass needs to be smaller and cigar the opposite side to fit on the chip better.

You’re trying way too hard to use every little bit of space on the chip… remember, less is more.

I don't know how you feel, but maybe removing the location entirely and the established date? Just my opinion. A cleaner looking graphic will always make you happy.

I can remove the EST. but the location is not negotiable playing around with some positioning in friday

Here’s an idea without the cigar. I think the cigar throws the symmetry off.
