Favorite holiday of the year. Tell us what you’re doing, show us the bird and the fixins.

We got a 16 pounder for 5 of us. Plan is to make the World Famous CLB Stuffing tonight (spicy sausage, gala apples, stuffing mix, college inn chicken broth, celery), banana bread and coffee with Bailey’s in the morning, chips and ranch dip midday, bird with stuffing, mashed and gravy, biscuits, green beans, and corn at 4p right after the Cowboys game. Got action on all 3 games. I assign Cowboys jerseys to each family member.

Here’s the beverage du jour. You can guess what I’m making everyone, but wrong guesses only.

Grilling some turkey breasts in the morning, making my “famous” mashed potatoes ( had to hit 7 stores to find heavy cream around here), creamed corn, and headed to my parents house 30 min from me. Can’t wait

16 lb bird for 2.5 people—my wife really wanted the heritage breed bird and that was the smallest. Stuffing, gravy and pumpkin pie are only enjoyed by yours truly, which is fine by me. Leftovers for days. Homemade cranberry sauce, homemade Mac n cheese, veg, Apple galette.

Friday? My world-famous stuffing-waffle hot brown, more pie, and a nap.

They’re open. Apparently, it all comes from upstate NY, and due to the blizzard, hasn’t been able to get down here. Hit 2 more stores for other items… both out of heavy cream.

That’s 1 Weis, 1 Harris Teeter (found it there), 2 Giants, 1 wegmans, 1 Safeway, 1 7-11 and 1 other store…

Harvey XX (we call each turkey Harvey for reasons that have been lost to time. This is our 20th Thanksgiving together so XX (me and CLB - this is the first time I have met this particular turkey).

We celebrated Thanksgiving today (Blended Family Problems). Traditional food + some of my favorite Syrian Lebanese dishes.

Looking forward to round two in a few hours.

Hardwood smoked 14 lb. turkey.

5 hours between 225 and 250 degrees. Worth it!
