Just curious... What's the biggest pot you've ever won at a casino? Do you remember the specifics? Casino? Year? (approximate) Game? Hand details? I think mine was at Talking Sticks Indian Casino, Scottsdale, Az circa 2005 poker boom booming $1/$2NL had A♥️6♥️ flop came A/6/6 two ♠️ 4-ways, check raised all-in $200ish on the turn, trips and two flush draws called (all drawing dead lol) scooped $800ish, which was nice, as I was traveling to Hawaii the next day to visit "a friend" but that's another story for a different forum... Cheers!

My biggest 1/2 NL win. I was on the button on a table with only 5 others left. I was dealt :2c::2s:. Everybody just slowly called the BB. I thought why not and threw my 2 in. SB completes and BB checks. Flop comes out :kh::6h::2d:. SB is short stacked and shoved immediately. BB was the big stack (only stack bigger than mine) and raised all-in. Everyone shoves! I figure I got a set maybe, just maybe I am good here. At a minimum, I figured if all I win is the one side pot with BB I won't lose anything on this hand, so I shoved too. The dealer gets all the different pots together and then tells me and BB "you two can show them". I show mine and say "I got a set". BB says "I got the heart draw". Before the dealer starts putting out the rest of the board, SB say "I got hearts too!". Slowly but surely everyone starts showing their cards. Everyone else is on a heart draw and the only heart left in the deck, :2h:! After the formalities, I tossed a 25 at the dealer and went to the cage with a little over a grand :) Still the stupidest thing I have ever seen on a poker table. Don't know if anything can compete with that.

I was hosting a $0.50-$0.50 cash game ($100 buy-in with rebuys up to 50% of biggest stack) with a few players that enjoy throwing money around. Once the straddles got going it was pretty insane. I believe it was at least the second time that night it was straddled to $1 - $2 - $4 - $8 - $16 - $32 during a PLO hand where I looked down at AAQ9 with a suited ace. I potted and three of us ended up all in preflop. I held to win just a little over $900.

2/5, maybe $1500 deep, had like :6h::4h: against QQ on a board of :qh::5h::2s: or something... she bet out full pot, I'm thinking i can put good pressure on hands as good as AA/KK and popped it. I got a sinking feeling when she 3b, and we ended up getting it all in.

Whiffed pretty hard and I started to question life as I shipped over like 2 months rent, but it is what it is.

In a 2-5 NL home game, I raised preflop for 35 with KK, get 4 callers, flop comes K95 no suits. Figuring I'm not going get any action lead for 75, 2 callers turn is Q a bit of a scare card as J 10 gets home, I lead for a 100, 1 caller and were both pretty deep. River is a 5 so only 55 beats me, I lead for 150 , he raises to 600, and I repop allin and he snap calls with 99. The pot was between 4-5k but was shaking to bad to count it. Nice night!

I don’t remember the largest ever, but one particularly large one small stakes was ~585 playing .25/.25 NLHE. Villain gets his 4 of a kind on the turn and is so excited he is completely blind to the straight flush possible and made on the river by Hero. He thinks he is so smart getting it all in against what he thinks is a boat. It took him a full 20 seconds to register what had happened. Just so happened to be at the end of the night between the two who had almost all of the chips on the table. It’s an infamous hand in our group. So 2300 x BB pot.

Far from my biggest pot, but my first big win is the one that always stuck with me.

I was 21 and playing at the local church carnival. Game was $1/2 Hold’em with an uncapped rake!:vomit:

We were down to 3 handed and I was running over the other 2 guys that were much older and much more experienced players I figured. I had only been playing tournaments and 25/50c cash games at my house every week so this was my first time playing with people that weren’t my friends and these stakes!

I had run my $200 buy to around $700. Which was already more money rhan I had ever won in my games!

Then this hand happens. I have:ad::2d: and raise preflop. Both guys call and make some comment that they tired of my raises lol.

The flop was decent AA2! They checked to me and I made a small bet to start building a pot up. Well it worked! It was raised and reraised by the time it got back to me. So I raised right back!

We got it all in on the flop and I’m nervous as shit because this pot is now over $2k and I know one of them has the last Ace and a kicker better than a 2 obviously lol.

the first guy has 22 and is drawing dead, the other guy has A10.

Thankfully he missed his 10 and the board didn’t pair the turn card and I scoop!

I talked the dealer into only taking $75 for the church. Game broke after that hand and I took my friends to the bar and retold the story 10 more times!

$60k USD or so... so I lost like 30k in that hand. Bad memories.

Macau NLHE.
Holy shnikes! Hand details? Apparently what happens in Macau stays in Macau, eh? :wtf:

That is a big pot! Wait, is that two pots? That's a violation, you're fired. Okay, just furloughed.

Dare I say you walked on water? Gotta love a good 3-way at a church...

Lol misread the title, thought it was “biggest pot ever played”

I don’t remember the ones I win, just the ones I lose

Love it when someone thinks they've won, the moment the sh*t hits their face is priceless - or @$2300 :banghead:

I lost set over set 9/9 to K/K once in a limit game 4/8 kill pot (8/16) while eating breakfast. When I got re-raised to 48 on the turn I spit out my eggs. Good on you tho that's phenomenal!

That's totally fine! Venting welcome, maybe it's necessary to get the wind...

EDIT: I'm trying to figure out five hands that would call. A5 and Q6 for sure, especially in later position. So JT and 98 and 34?

This was in a $1/3 game on Stones live, in for $500. 4 way pot single raised to $15, I’ve got :4d::3d: on the button. Flop comes 432 rainbow, PFR bets, hijack raises, I flat others fold. Turn 4x, HJ bets close to pot, I flat. Kx on the river, HJ shoves his las ~$800 into a ~$600 pot, admittedly I thought for too long on what should have been a snap call whether he might have had K4 or a weirdly played KK, but It was a massive bet and pot at $1/3 and I called after a few seconds to have him show 33.~$2200 pot at $1/3 was pretty crazy.

Lol the commentary on this hand was priceless

Just over 10k... first and only time I ever played 200-400 mixed games at Bellagio... 2-7 triple draw multiway raised pot initial betting round and I end up with the wheel against a 7-6 in the end...

I don't think so. It happened on a poker room near me that closed down at least ten years ago. All I remember for certain is the board and being up against 5 simultaneous heart draws, all drawing dead. 34 would have had a gutshot. Just 5 terrible lotto players

A friend of mine just reminded me of a hand where I burned him in Niagara Falls about 2 years ago. Full 10 player table. 1/3 NLHE. I am in the CO with :ac::kc:. Table has been a bit aggressive for my liking (as it usually is in Niagara Falls). UTG raises to 15. One person calls. My buddy re raises to 40. Usually I don't trust AK this much, but something told me to call so I did. The two others did and we go to the flop four handed. Flop comes out
Screenshot (13).png

I can't believe it. AK was actually worth something to me. UTG leads out with 40. Next guy calls 40. My buddy (poor guy) raises to 100. I shove with 375. I had them all covered, but barely. All three call. Dealer sorts out the pot and tells us to show them, so we did.
Screenshot (12).png

My buddy had the Queens and still bitches about this hand 2 years later. Kicked 40 at the dealer, cashed out 1200, and went to the buffet :)

Was postle in the hand?? LMAO

Not my biggest pot at a casino. It was my first casino hand. I sit down at a 1/2 with a 200 buy in. This was a lot for my bankroll of 2k lol. I was nervous. I sit in the BB. First to act makes it 15 bucks. He gets 6 callers. I look down at A/A. Fuck.....I just know I'm going to lose. I shove my 200 into the pot and get two callers. I was again st 6/6 and 8/10. My aces held up.

My biggest hand at a casino was at another 1/2 hand. I had 3/5 in the bb. I limped to me and I checked. I flopped the wheel on a flush board. I bet it. It was 4 bet before it got back to me. I shoved. My wheel held up and I won a 1k pot. I was facing two sets and a flush draw. My wheel held up.

Playing 1/3 $500 max at Harrington in the heart of Sussex county Delaware. Very interesting game with a lot of action. I have about $700 at this point.

I have:3d::3h: on button. Folds to me and I raise to $7.

BB calls. They have about $700 behind.

Flop comes:4d::4h::6s:

Bb checks and I bet $10. bb calls.

turn is:
:4d::4h::6s::tc:

I bet $20

Bb raises me to $60

I consider for about 30 seconds but call. At this point I suspect i am behind but feel that I canover bet the river and blow this player off an overpaid. I am not saying this was a good plan in hindsight I’m just telling you what I thought in the moment.

River is glorious:
:4d::4h::6s::tc::3c:

BB bets $150

I declare all in and go into tank.

Villian contemplates call for about 3 minutes And slides a barrel in.

I show immediately and table loses it one guy declaring “How do you show up with that hand”!?! I told him “I had a plan”.

Villian was total class. Slid chips over and tapped table And rebought for max.
Pot was just over 1400. I ended up over $1k for night when all was said and done.

In hindsight I believe I got extremely lucky and was probably up against a hand like A4. Still was a fun night.

Won a bunch over 50k. Truth i remember way more about the big ones I lost. Lol If I had to guess biggest pot I won was in my drinkin days. It’s One bad call after another. One out river. I only
Play PLO or mixed so these get nose bleed.

50k+ pot (more but u get the idea)
All friends so super loose game.
9/10/10/K double suited wayyyyy out of position. Like in one of the blinds. (Ya I know I was drunk) lol

Flop 10/J/Q
Turn BRICK (no clue)
4 callers.
River 10
Pot pot pot pot pot

Ship it
I remember the taste in the air.
Yummy.

I had about a 1k pot at 1/2 NLHE at MGM grand detroit back in college when we were all out for a buddy's bachelor party.

There is a raise from EP, I call in MP with :6c::6s:, and button calls. Flop comes :qd::9h::6h:. EP bets about 1/2 pot, I call to set the trap and button calls. Turn comes :qh:. EP is undeterred and bets 2/3 pot. I hope the button made his flush and flat. Button raises all in. I'm waiting for EP to fold so I can shove my chips in, but then he re-ships pretty quickly. Now I am wondering wtf is going on and figuring one of them MUST have 9-9 (or even Q-9). I tank for a little bit and finally decide to call. We all decide to show. EP shows :ah::qc:, I show my sixes full and the table wonders why I even had to think about it. Button says "I still have an out!", which made me feel good and flips :7h::5h:.

I feel like it's taking forever for the river to come, and I'm slowing filling with dread feeling like the :8h: is on the way. I start thinking about how I was up like $150 and could have had my share of the hotel room covered. Luckily the river was a total brick and pot gets shipped to me. Left the table shortly after that to hang out with everyone. Bought us a cheap bottle of vodka for the evening and then treated like 8 guys to Lafayette Coney Island the next day after we recovered. I seem to recall the bill being like $55 haha.
