They look like BCC no-molds to me. Very nice score for somebody!

Was in the works to get that plus and extra rack of hundreds for $700.
So whoever you are, nice score, and saved me some monies.

I do not know what they mean by "Play Day Casino Chips", but I do know the following:
  • Nevada Gaming commission requires the city name to appear on the chip - these do not say Las Vegas, NV
  • Tournament chips are required to denote "no cash value"
These appear to be from BCC, on the Sun mold - prototype chips that were not in actual play. They were made by BCC about a year before the Wynn opened, as they were vying for the chip contract (which went to GPI). They were made in limited quantities, and are very valuable to certain chip collectors. As I understand it, back in 2011 these chips were selling for $75-$200 a chip.

I also understood that there were only 100 of each denom made, so I accept that there is something not quite adding up correctly.

Original seller did say that they might get more in the future.
So, i might be able to get a set yet! :whistling:

The ones selling back in 2011 were prototype denominated chips made by BCC. Also, these are not on the sun mold, they are as @BGinGA mentioned on a smooth mold. I don't think these ever made it into actual casino play...

There was a discussion about these on thechipboard.com last year. Possibly used for Wynn promo events outside of Nevada. BCC vs Paulson debated with a lean toward Paulson smooth molds. And sample sets of these used to sell for big bucks. I'm guessing that won't be the case anymore. ;)

Damn, if i had known ... would have been an insta buy for me ...

I also did not see the sunburst, but questioned if it was just the lighting. From Chipguide...

Those look to me like prototype chips. I am sure BCC made more than one sample of chips to Entice Wynn to use their chips. That even at the BIN price is a damn steal. The BIN is at least 1/4 the price likely less. That is a grail type set. I will be surprised if whoever got the seller to commit ends up with them because I bet the seller is getting blown up with offers.

Now i wonder if i made a terrible mistake by posting these here...
For all i know, i could have kill my future action with the original seller with this post. Oh well.

Does the seller have more of these chips to sell? :whistling:

So the buyer also got the extra rack of $100"s.

Not st the bargain price though.

I guess the seller realizes he sold way low now.

And he got the extra rack ... Talk about insult to injury.
Great buy for him though. Guessing he's not a member here?

He or she is but I'm not going to out hi/ her, he/ she can post if he or she wants to.

On a side note the seller sold racks of $25's previously. Those would be helpful if someone here got them and wants to sell let me know. I'll put you down with the buyer.

Man... I hate missing deals like this. These are the sorts of things I (and I am sure most of us) keep my eyes peeled for constantly.

When I saw this auction open up (now wishing I bin'd them) I thought they were training chips for Wynn employees. If so there would be a LOT more than this.

Yeah- before this thread was posted, I happened to be looking at completed Wynn chip auctions and came across those.

I wish I had seen them back on 12/27/15:

25 - 3 racks sold @ $29.99 ea. + ship
100 - 3 racks sold @ $29.99 ea. + ship
500 - rack sold @ $29.99 ea. + ship
1000 - 3 racks sold @ $29.99 ea. + ship
5000 - 3 racks sold @ $39.99 ea. + ship

Looks like the other 2 racks of 500 were sold on 1/28 for $120 + ship.

omg, mint spotted chips in great colors for 30c each in quantity..... /sigh/

Okay, I only need a thousand (hint, hint). Eight hundred in a pinch (200/200/100/200/100)

Wow. Looks like the loose racks and the 200x 500's (sold as non-valued and no pic of chip face??) all went to the same buyer. Sick deal, I guess the seller hates money.
