Some T100 deserve a light cleaning. I would say 20% of the 140 chips. They stay close to mint

The rest of the set is near mint, no flea bites and Sharpe edge.

I have been wondering about this 5k WTHC chip since joining here. I find it to be rather ugly and the "runt of the litter" if you will....I'm at times puzzled by high denoms pricing. Is it because there are less of them around? It really isn't a pretty chip IMHO

I've never been a fan of this color. However, I need some 5K chips on this mold. So will probably go with these or PCR if I can get them.

Often prices are higher for higher denoms. Mostly with casino sets though, not fantasy/home sets.

FYI, I was interested at the price in the OP: 'The set for 1575€ + shipping'. Lost interest when he decided to charge more for the higher denoms in post 13.

It is just a matter of function. You need those 5k chips for many tourney structures and there are less of them around. Typically, there are fewwer of high denom chips made of any set.

The 5k chips cost more because of demand rooted in utility. I am pretty sure 9/10 people agree the 1s or 1k chips are much nicer aesthetically.

Indeed sir....and yet...I have a rack of these in the mail. Cost me a pretty penny but I have to see in person before passing full judgement! In fairness to the chip itself. I hope to have them tomorrow. I do NEED a 5k chip to add to a Paulson's tourney set I'm trying to build.

Works perfectly in my Pharaohs set for me. Hardly notice inlay. Same edge pattern as all Pharaohs and all Pharaohs have different inlay symbols anyway. Maybe I am crazy but I think it is better looking than most WTHC especially T500 and T1000.

The silver does look better in person, doesn't look as good in pictures.
