I paid $5.9k total for 1328 chips for an avg price of ~$4.45 a chip.

I bought:
  • 210 1s ($1.37k @ $6.52)
  • 209 5s ($1.10k @ $5.26)
  • 185 25s ($0.85k @ $4.60)
  • 452 100s ($1.50k @ $3.31)
  • 102 500s ($0.35k @ $3.43)
  • 100 1ks ($0.35k @ $3.50)
  • 60 5ks ($0.21k @ $3.50)
  • 10 25ks ($0.13k @ $13)<—Paulson High Roller HS

My boss often says in reference to trades/service: Fast, Cheap, Good Quality. You can have 2 out of the 3 but you will never get all 3.

Oh and yes, that one barrel of fives in the back row is short one chip. Same for a 1k and 5k barrel. (See if you can find them.)

I was taking a glamour shot and I don’t have any extra of those denominations.

Yeah i overpaid several times on WTHC due to impatience. Mostly on feebay. There was a time in 2017 that it felt like I pushed the entire market on WTHC. I got what I wanted which is wonderful.
 
I am on record saying that the Le Noirs are the most elegant fantasy set Paulson has ever produced. The WTHC are a more premium set and are such a close second in elegance as to not be worth differentiating.

When you overpay for Paulson fantasy mold chips, you can make yourself feel better by comparing it to what people are paying for non-fantasy.

I needed 5000 chips for my Avalon set, so had to go with WTHC because there the only chips I can get at the moment on the same mold. Paying ~$4 / chip isn't that bad when people are paying $20+ / chip for casino mold high denoms.

It's reminds me of when I was 19 and sneaking into LA casinos. Sad that I lost all my cash that night, chatting with a valet. Told him I lost $200. He said, is that all? He just talked to a guy that lost $40K, close to his yearly salary. He was going to have to explain to his wife. I felt much better lol.

I knew going in I was gonna pay too much. I am certain that if I waited another 5+ years I’d have paid even more so in a sense I got ‘em cheap!
