Does anyone know the current main event starting stack? I know it has changed a few times over the years. 30K in chips?

I think it's currently 30K, but don't know the breakdown....

It jumped from long-time 10K to 20K for a year or two, then was bumped to 30K.

Ok. Can't seem to find the breakdown anywhere.

Found this blurb about the 2013 WSOP Main Event on the wsop.com site, dated July 2013:

Each player starts with T30,000 chips, but when it comes to physical poker chips, everyone actually gets just 30—four 5,000 chips, eight 1,000 chips, two 500 chips, eight 100 chips, and eight 25 chips.

There were 190,560 chips in play at the start. First color-up removed 50,816 green T25's from play.

That's a lot of chips. :) Must have been 6,352 players....

Some more chips for the early levels :)
20x25, 20x100, 5x500, 10x1k and 3x5k

58 chip starting stack!?

Can't find a pic but the big one for one drop starting stack is 148 chips.

50-1000s
50-5000s
28-25ks
20-100ks

Now that's a stack

Cant find it either, but I know it was out once, looked impressive :)

Edit: Actually here is a pretty bad one from far away...

Was recently working on various tourney set breakdowns and came across your post... decided to see what a TP set for a single table 'Big One for One Drop' would look like
