Looking to get my first set of mixed Paulsons and was thinking this 600 chip breakdown. I’m hoping to be able to play .25/.50, .50/1, and 1/2 with 8 max people with this set. I think it should be good but I wanted to hear some thoughts

Green NCV (no denom) - to be used as $10 or $25 depending on stakes - 100x

Red $5 chips - 200x

White NCV (no denom) - to be used as .50 or .25 chips - 100x

Blue $1 chips - 200x

Trouble with changing the value on a non denom chip is that
1- players could buy them for less one week and reintroduce same for higher value later.
2- players will ask 2 million times per hour what each chip is worth, and even then they will make mistakes if using the same set for different stakes.

I suggest skipping the .50 cent and using .25 for both stakes and for the high value chip use 20's and then 10-20 $100 value chips

100x.25
160x1
240x5
80x20
20x100
600 chips

Appreciate the advice but not rlly worried about chip security, as i just play with friends. Already purchased 100 green chips, and was planning on getting some white starbursts for the fracs. Only 2 chips would have no demoms, so it shouldnt be too confusing imo

I don’t see a problem here really. You have:

100x 25c - White ncv
200 x $1 - Blue chips
200 x $5 - red chips
100 x $25 - green ncv

Works perfectly no matter if it’s 25c/50c or $1/2.
A $10-chip serves no purpose no matter the stakes

Maybe you’ll want to add a barrel of 100s to the bank depending on how the bigger games play

Detroitdad's ratios are pretty much optimal... also, I personally avoid NCV's given a few of my regulars are getting up there in years and would continually ask "what's this one worth??!"
