I use a deck of those to play the same game with my wife! Fun Game. I never have played with more than 3 or 4 much less 8 players!

No, this game has been played in the family for years without any variation. I had to google rules to provide.

The other family favorites are Liars Dice, Six Cubes, Michigan Rummy (using $1 Everleigh chips) and Train Dominos.

It's a good family card game because the rules are simple and can be learned quickly (even kids can play), but there is still some strategy (and some gambool).

My ten year old made a 2x2 of Queens for a -6 on the 6th hole.
