Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (13 Viewers)

Regards the upcoming giveaway (which looks to be sooner than later, since I've posted 50 messages in the last 4 days.) I've had a think about some commentary about eligibility (and fairness) for the giveaway, and I wanted to clarify: this is MY giveaway, not a PCF giveaway, and as such, if you've had a larger part in my growth in the community, you'll end up having more chances to win.

That said, I do want to acknowledge that not everyone posts a lot, so limiting the eligibility criteria to a number of posts seems wrong. So, here are the revised terms, as I've been thinking more about it (changes in red, additional sample questions added as well.)

  • 1000 THC leaded chips, a full, colorful tournament set (to be revealed), worth about $2300.
  • Open to members from all countries, shipping included.
  • A strong stipulation against flipping for 1 year, protected by an ROFR for the cost of shipping. If the ROFR isn't acceptable, people shouldn't enter. ROFR only for 1 year.
  • Giveaway only open to members who:
    • have either 500 posts or
    • joined prior to October 1, 2018, or
    • have 100 posts, have been a member for at least 30 days on the day of the giveaway posting, AND are a supporting member of PCF.
  • First entry into the giveaway secured by "liking" the OP of the giveaway thread.
  • Additional entries secured using a points system that is a combination of trivia questions (some will have to be guesses) and a scavenger hunt through my 1000 posts. Examples:
    • What town is my "on the coast" home in? +3 entries
    • What is the origin of my PCF Handle? +2 entries
    • What was the first chipset that I bought from a PCFer? +3 entries
    • Who triggered my interest in TRKs? +10 entries
    • What is the rarest chipset I own? +20 entries
    • Who did I first get into a public argument with at PCF? +2 entries
    • Who have I sent the most money to at PCF? +20 entries
    • Who have I sent the most text or WhatsApp messages to at PCF? +10 entries
    • Give yourself 1 extra entry for every rack of chips you have ever sold or traded me.
    • What did my hat say on Friday at MinneMania? +5 entries
  • A 4 table (32 player) finalist tournament will be scheduled.
  • 32 finalists play an online NLH tournament to determine winner of the giveaway set. Spectators welcome.
  • First place is the chipset. Several other goodies for players on the bubble. (Sample sets, singles, card setups, other goodies). 4 additional winners, for a total of 5 winners.
Do not PM anything, I’m setting up a website where you will be able to choose / enter answers starting on the day of the giveaway posting.

Are you going to require the entrants to be on a Zoom call?

When do you want people to start PMing you those answers? Figured I would ask so we don't prematurely flood your inbox.

Do not PM anything, I’m setting up a website where you will be able to choose / enter answers starting on the day of the giveaway posting.

I could only imagine the flood of PMs! Not sure this site is set up for that.

Aren't the listed question just examples (not the real questions)?

Did a quick Coke Giraffe Pr0n shoot for @markleteenie to show the chips side by side, and added a couple of splash pot shots. So much color!

semi serious question. is it possible to a partial label over? i know it will be a bit of a hatchet job but somehow make those $10s magically become $100s? just thinking out loud just so there is enough bank to play bigger stakes. I mean the obvious solution could be just to have the 3.5Ks chips all in play at once. :ROFLMAO:

None, as far as I can tell. I rescued 2 racks before their murder, but it’s possible that @ReallyGoodUsername may have traded some, I know it’s a popular chip.
You are lucky none made it to my house  :ROFLMAO:. Especially those $10s. My tools would have been ready before they even arrived.

Could maybe find a white 3d14 to relabel as a $100?

It’s a fantastic question. I’ve been seriously considering relabeling the $10s to $100s, will make the set infinitely more playable. I suspect the $1s and $10s were meant for a limit game, when produced. The other option is to find a white leaded chip to relabel as the Hundo. I do have the Eddie’s Fabulous 50 $100 chip, and I’m not particularly fond of the label, but the spot pattern would be different from the pattern on all the current chips.

I am so in love with this set. The chips are in excellent condition, but not completely raw, and there is a smooth buttery texture to them that’s just so satisfying. The colors really pop too. LCOs for the win! Thank you so much, Forrest.

If you EVER fall out of love and decide to sell, dibs. :D

They are basically Cali colors but at the same time wrong. 10->20 and 20->100.

I’d stick to 3d14. The giraffe colors are unique. So I was going to make some chocolate $100s

How do you define “rarest”? Fewest total chips in circulation? Fewest owners of playable sets? Some other metric?
Better question would be, how do you define chipset? Some of the rarest chips @Windwalker owns are in mixed sets. Are we talking complete one casino sets or just rare denominational chips in general?
