I’m putting together a T25-base tournament set. After seeing all the chips together, I’m a little concerned I might have dirty stack issues, especially later in the tournament between the pink T500, yellow T1k, and orange T5k.

What do you think?

L to R: t25, t100, t500, t1k, t5k

Edit: Yes, these chips need cleaned. I’m buying an ultrasonic!

I'm partially colorblind. I see dirty stacks. Not sure if my opinion counts.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of people who are colorblind (no one in the groups I play in has ever mentioned it). Glad to hear it's not an issue for you.

Let me ask you this respectfully. Have you ever seen a 5 chip lineup where all the chips were solids, where you didn't see dirty stacks?

I'm guessing that Paulson GCR's are probably about as clean as it gets.

Just to add more (possibly ignorant) thoughts to the color blindness issue. When I started playing with a group a few years back, that was using dice chips, and then after a bit, started bringing my spotted, casino Paulsons to the game, one of the guys mentioned that he loved my chips because he was color blind, and it was easier for him to distinguish the different chips.
So my unscientific thoughts are that colorblind people may be more likely to have issues with solids.

Yes. I'd say majority of solid sets are usually easier for me to distinguish. Obviously depends on colors and brightness though.

Personally I think they're fine. Colour-wise they're similar but tonally they're not.

For full disclosure I'm not colour blind but my sense of smell isn't 100%
