Flying to Vegas right now and delayed sitting on the tarmac. I haven't decided which poker rooms I want to hit yet. What is your favorite and why? Typically play 2/5, but it's a $3k cap at my usual casino which I don't think is normal for Vegas. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I’m seeing most caps are at something like $1200-1500 for $2/5. Min buy in being anywhere from $200-300 somewhere along those lines.

I personally haven’t played in any rooms except for Sahara once for a tourney.

I REALLY like Resorts World’s room. Comfortable, professionally run, and well lit.

I also like The Bellagio and Aria, but they are so popular that their wait times can balloon to several hours for a seat. Caesar’s is comparable to those, just smaller (and honestly just less a fan of the property as well).

I’ve yet to play at the Wynn / Encore, but people I trust speak really highly of it.

MGM pretty much never has a wait, but it’s about as barebones as imaginable.

Lastly, I actively disliked playing at the Venetian - dirty chips and tables, overcrowded, and (at the time I checked it out, can’t say if this is currently true) had the highest rake.

Wynn/Encore hands down. Good action, great staff, good comps and drinks. $1/3 $500 cap is a great game $2/5 is $1500 max I think, can also be really good depending on the night. Haven’t played their $5/10, but it’s uncapped and plays big.

Favorite is Caesar's for the venue overall, I like their sports book and the cardroom is good, too. Then I'd say Bellagio and then Resort's World.

Rooms I didn't really like that much: Golden Nugget (although them spreading an UNCAPPED 1/2 NL game was pretty great), MGM, Mandalay Bay. Avoid.

I did a quick 2 hour sessions at a couple of rooms when I went to Vegas last year.

My order of preference: Aria, Resorts World, Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian.

What about The Mirage? I would choose
just because of that great $5 Chips

Like many other great rooms, it’s closed.

Same to Monte Carlo, Osheas, Flamingo, planet Hollywood, and other fun places from my youth.

Aria and Wynn are lovely. Golden Nugget if you want a taste of what poker used to be like (smaller and disgruntled)

From what I hear, if you're playing 2/5 or 3/5, it really just depends on how big of a game you wan to play. You can have $500 capped 2/5 game or all the way or even go all the way to play the Golden Nugget uncapped game.

I personally liked Resorts World, Aria and Wynn/Encore though!
