Forgive the stupid question. Looking at a set with

200x25
200x100
100x500
100x1000
100x5000

Is it a decent breakdown?

Are those the mayfair clubs? If so, good choice. you could definitely run a 12/12/5/6/2 tourney with that breakdown, or a bunch of other creative breakdowns. You could run something with a few more 25s or 100s, it depends on how many people you're playing with. Definitely a solid set with a solid breakdown. Somebody else could probably weigh in with more possible breakdowns, but that one would work for T10k/T20k easily.

Good for 10-player T50K tournaments (12/12/5/6/8), 16-player T30K tournaments (12/12/5/6/4) or 24-player T20K tournaments (8/8/4/2/3) with enough extras for color-ups and re-buys in all cases.

Could use more T1000s, but certainly playable as-is.

The number of T1Ks in your set is somewhat limiting. But I think 16 handed 12/12/5/6 is your best bet for a T10K tournament. 12/12/5/6/2 for T20K is workable too, but starting stacks with any more T5k chips that that are going to run into trouble because there aren't a lot of T1k chips in play for change.

If you can score an extra 100 T1k chips. Then you can very comfortably do 24 stacks of 8/8/4/7.

8/8/4/7 only gets your 14 stacks because the limit on your T1000 chips. You could do 8/8/6/6 I suppose. But that will still only get you 16 stacks, which you can already do with 12/12/5/6.

So I think it's a fine breakdown for 16 or fewer players, but if you are thinking of going to 24, get another 100 * T1000.

Single table T10,000 (on starting blinds 25-25 or 25-50) with rebuys
25 x 12
100 x 12
500 x 5
1000 x 6

2 table (20 players) T7,5000 (on starting blinds 25-25 or 25-50) :
10 players get :
25 x 12
25 x 12
500 x 4
1000 x 4
10 players get :
25 x 8
100 x 8
500 x 5
1000 x 4
1 x 1000 per player to color-up the 25 and 100
500 colored-up with 5000
Rebuys done by introducing T5000
To make a very nice 2-table set, few extra barrels of 1000 are required.
