Alright, so I am new to this whole world of poker chips. Can someone explain to me what Tina chips are? I see them reference a bunch on the forum but I can’t quite figure out what they are. Are they a brand? A specific type of chip? Help please?!

Get with me if you want some samples — yes, you want to handle them before jumping in feet first. I got both the hybrid and non-hybrids before I bought and now they're just sitting around. Cover the postage and they're yours.

I don’t know if I’d refer to Tina hybrids as entry level. Here on PCF, that might be fair, because they can be like a gateway drug into the hobby. But realistically, they’re objectively so significantly better thab the dice chips you’d find at Walmart or target, that entry level seems unfair.

Definitely not entry level. You could probably say "enthusiast entry level".

The levels are basically:
- Plastic disks from Walmart ~$0.01/ea
- Dice chips from various stores ~$0.10/ea
- Plastic slug from various stores ~$0.20/ea
- China clay (ie fake clay) from various stores ~$0.50/ea
- Tina ceramic from China ~$0.75/ea
- BR Pro ceramic from USA ~$1/ea
- Real clay chips from Casino's/Classic Poker Chips ~$1-$50K/ea

*prices are rough and rounded up to semi-account for shipping costs (particularly Tina's from china)

I identify them as entry-level because if you’re on PCF I assume you’re already looking for something beyond dice chips or things you can buy on Amazon or mass market chips. If it makes you feel better, they are PCF entry level.
