What are the best poker chips in your opinion? (2 Viewers)

Most say Paulsons. I used to. But after I got my CPC set, my opinion started to change a bit.

So the majority may say Paulsons. But for truly custom clay chips I says CPC. Even though you can murder Paulsons and put stickers on them, to me it's not quite the same. @Josh Kifer Is it possible to hot stamp murdered Paulsons?

Next for "Ceramic" I'd have to say currently BR PRO. I haven't had experience with Tina's yet or any other. Besides samples of Scroll and Nile Club

Next I'd say China clays from @Apache And I may catch heat for this but I've seen a few "Cheaper sluggos" that aren't bad, in fact they're pretty nice. Especially for the price.

I have not had any experience with matsui or Bud Jones or anything like that yet

Nope. Only can restamp older hot stamps. No murder or milling.

The moment you get your hands on (edit) leaded TRK chips, it’s over…. TRK are simply above and beyond Paulson and CPC without a doubt ….

any chips that feel great, look great as a complete set and that your not fussed about putting in play anywhere in any crowd for fear of damage.

I’m just starting out in the hobby too. From the limited chips that I have seen/played with I really want to start with THC. Just trying to find the right types/price.

Faux Clay are obviously the best, and not just in my opinion. Don’t let the Paulson fanbois around here tell you otherwise. Sadly the Mighty Faux are no longer available, but I bet Tina could make some that look just as good. It probably wouldn’t even need to be kept secret. Just make sure your pictures aren’t coming from that other chip site. We’re just a bunch of scrub donkeys on this one.

Can't be said enough. Get samples, get samples. Until you figure out what you like and what fits your budget. Eventually you'll figure it out but it might take some time. If your looking for casino chips a good place to get your feet wet is with The Chiproom sales!

I know they aren't the highest quality to many, but the Monte Carlo chips for some reason always had that pop to them that stand out more so than other chip sets that I've owned. There may be more sentimental chip sets that I have but the Monte Carlo chips just have that "it" factor when it comes to looks. They are the heavier 14g type and once you get 1000 of them in a case they get damn heavy. One time it broke my 1000 chip handle because of the weight. Words of advice to anybody that ever purchases these. If you do get a set be sure to buy them all at once. If you ever go back and get extra of certain types of chips the pigmentation usually changes depending on where you buy them from.

I am a new chipper. Wanted just a base understanding of both Paulson and TRK, so I sought out some sample sets.
Absolutely fell in love with TRK.
