First step to admitting you have a problem is admitting you have a VHS player....

The funniest moment in watching this tape would be when the announcer says after the final two players have pushed their chips into the pot - "this $130,000 pot is the largest ever in the history of poker", as there were 13 entries to the Main Event that year.

Yeah and back in the good old days when $10k got you $10k in chips so you could see the actual dollar value in every pot.

Back in the old days when $10,000 equaled $50,000 in today's money. How many players participate in a $50,000 event nowadays. (Well, more than 13, but still).

Essentially, there were no tournament chips back then. One year they used quarter chips as T1000 because the field was so big (not by today's standards) that they ran out of real $1000 chips.

And back then they used chip racks. So when players would go all-in, they would push all their chip racks in the middle.
