Guy is asking $700 for this set. He is wondering where they came from. Anyone got the sales slip-book information on these? Couldn’t find them on Chipguide.

Looks like they are still up for sale. Wondering about what they might be worth?

Old boy bought them off of the original seller and re posted them within the week for $600.

Then I shamed him into lowering the price to $300. I assume he paid $200. I’ll post receipts…

I’d say $200 is a fair price for these. I’d pay $300 if the dude wasn’t a shade ball.

People buy and resell all the time. I don't see what's scummy about that. Someone people need money quick or aren't concerned with maxing value. There is value in that imo

I was considering buying if he'd come down from 300 too. I dunno. Prolly more trouble than it's worth but it would be nice to have some real clay chips and a project

HODL H-molds

I disagree. The dude bought them with the sole purpose of charging hundreds of dollars more and to catch some sucker that doesn’t know what they are buying.

It was so scummy that the scumbag lowered the price $300.

Yeah, it’s kinda shitty.

Is someone still in contact with him? I’m interested in these but don’t want to crash any parties happening.

He quietly exited our convo hahah.

I bet you could talk him down to $250 on these. Tell him you know how much he paid for them.

Do you have a link or picture of the original ad for $200? I could open with that, asking if it’s the same chips

Link originally posted is marked as Sold, but here's a very similar product listed. This could have been the original listing. No clue. Some people never figure out to mark as sold

Regarding only intention is reselling, no issue in public spaces. Maybe they weren't marketed well. I do think it's a bit scummy for sales here. If someone buys at a higher price, they are content with that price. The fact that they could have got it cheaper is not an issue.

I can always buy new solid h-mold and stamp them myself. Older chips that require rework are always going to have to be at a heavy discount. If this was a complete set with denominations and usable breakdown then that’s different. But it’s just a bunch of chips.

Ad says they were sold for $400. I'm gonna guess that ol Norm got them for $300. No way he is eating $100 bucks on these. Looks like he is just looking to get his money back at this point.

Last convo he said he paid 200.

Hasn't responded to me inquest yesterday, "Did you sell these yet?"

I told him last week that I would grab them if he came down in price a little. He said just put them up but he was open.

If you want them for 300, go for it! Would love to see how they turn out.

Harry Houdini!

“Hi are these still available? My grandfather’s name is Howard Humboldt and he is turning 86 in a couple of weeks. He has been wanting to get a game going in the retirement home he lives in, but the management says any items used in games must be personalized or other people “forget” and think the items are theirs. So these initials would be perfect! I’m not well off ( it costs us $2760 a month for his retirement room) so any break you could give me on pricing would be appreciated. I can’t pay until after Nov 24, that’s when I get my SS check, so hopefully you can hold them if it’s possible for me to purchase. I can get my in home caregiver to help me get you the money and the address for shipping. PaPa is going to be do happy and so proud, and I’ll be glad he has something to do besides stare at the TV all day. Thanks!”

Here’s a picture of the last game he had at his house of 45 years before we sold it and put him in the retirement home. He was so happy but he didn’t know he would be leaving his home. He will be so happy to have something to remind him of his old house.

Old school, playing with change. Love it. Hopefully he has a nice table to play on at his place.

I think anyone would be delighted to get this set as a gift. Hope you can snag it.

One twist...I'd say his name is Jonathan Humbolt but everyone called him Happy.

I’m really not trying to be that guy…

People buy and sell on FB marketplace all the time. People buy things and sell them for more. It doesn’t mean they’re a “scumbag.” That’s a pretty harsh thing to say. I think your more upset that you’re not the one that purchased them.

@Mushmanchuman, you flamed me once for trying to sell a FB find on here for a profit. Yet it’s ok it you do it right? Like buying 2500 ceramic chips from FL for $200 and listing 1100 of them on FB for $400?
