After months and months of searching, buying (and selling off of unusable chips), I’ve FINALLY assembled my 600 chip count set of vintage Comet inlay chips! These are my T100 tourney chips for my monthly home game.

These types of chips are often referred to by several names, including “Paranoid” and “Crest & Seal”. They are made of a colored base clay composite with a white inlay pressed flush onto the surface, and we’re often originally used for roulette and faro.

The U.S. Playing Card Co. and Burt Co. (now known as Classic Poker Chips / CPC) made these chips, and they can even be seen in the poker scene of Gone With the Wind!

Lots of variations out there but mine are 39mm diam, flat-edged, ~7.5-8g each, and 20 chips stack right at 2 & 5/8 inches tall.

A special thanks to @CrazyEddie , @David Spragg, and all the other members of PCF who helped me assemble this set.

Enjoy the pics!

I’ve also got 40 dark greens, but couldn’t find enough to be useful (hint, hint, if anyone has some to sell…. )

Spectacular! I hadn't known that about Gone with the Wind, that's very cool. I hope you get a lot of use and fun out of these.

I am so envious of this set :love: These old Paranoid / C&S chips are my favorite type.

great set!

This “zombie post” is raised from the dead! Thanks for the compliments.

I always seem to forget to take pics when I’ve got these in play, but a year or 2 ago I was finally able to expand my set to include a few hundred green chips ($25).

The played set is now 800 chips strong with 100 spare chips (20 of each color). More chip pron below…
