Vegas poker (and rugby) in March. (1 Viewer)

Good luck harvesting!!!
Also I saw pictures of your plane trip. I saw one with someone with a bunch SWA drink tickets. I didn't know you were taking your daughter! [emoji3]

I'll pass that on :). She'll appreciate it, or at the very least find it funny since she's 3 years older than me. Or as I like to point out, I'm still in my 30's.

Where am I? :D

I'll take the red rack on your right as my prize for finding you.

So close, almost won that rack :p

I'm actually in front of the chips, as I believe what you're seeing is my reflection while taking the picture. I don't think Mikko would have appreciated it if I actually went behind the counter ;)

All smoke and mirrors with you guys.

Clearly he doesn't realize that your are the Asst. Tourney Director

Updates for the day.

Vegas traffic sucks. Vegas drivers suck worse.

Arizona Charlie's was a total bust, no opportunity to harvest. One table, which was full. But the worst part was the chips were a mix of super worn THC and RHC. Just not worth sticking around as it would have been nearly impossible to harvest a couple racks of decent THC chips.

I cut my (time) loses and headed to the Venetian (on back roads).

Currently playing 2/5 here. Doing well so far, sitting on a little over 1200 from an initial buy of 800. Was 1300 and change until the older gentleman in the 8 seat just hero called my river bet. Put him on a flush draw, which didn't come. I bet 60 on the river into a pot of about 100. Though it would like a value bet the way the hand played out. He called me with A3 (flush draw) and bottom pair (which beat my K high bluff). Oops. :)

Holy crap! I completely forgot that I had called to get on this list. I'd better get myself to Vegas, pronto! :ROFLMAO:

Lol. I honestly meant to tag you in that post when I saw that. :)

I've been sitting at Omaha/8 the past hour, so far so good, up a little over $80.

I've been spending my time sorting my stack into three piles. And I've had a lot of free time as I'm playing pretty tight and nitty ;)

1) Sharp edge, near mint chips (left).

2) LCV/SCV mixed mold chips and giant inlay chips on the top. Those are the ones I bet since they're not ones I want to harvest.

3) The rest, which range from good to excellent (but all need a spa day in the ultrasonic).

More updates and observations from last night.

1. If you have to play 2/4 limit Holdem to harvest chips, don't. I'm fairly sure it's not actually poker.

2. The number of people cashing their weekly paychecks at the casino cashier on a Friday afternoon/evening was disturbingly high.

3. Sorting chips into condition bins is easier to do with lots of light. Should have waited and done them all in the morning.

Anyone want a $3 Bellagio chip? The dealer accidentally left it in a pot I won. Not sure if they're hard to get, but I figured I'd offer it to the followers of my trip just in case someone wanted it for their collection.

Sorry for the crappy picture. It's in decent shape, just a little dirty. Edges are still pretty sharp.

Started with 100 chips on the table. Only have 99 now. But fortunately 8 of them turned from red to black ;)

Oh, and there may be another 30-35 minty $1 chips that found their way off the table and into my right front pocket. :whistling:

Mrs Bentax is on her way down. Barring a disaster hand in the next 5 minutes, this one will go in the books as another nice session. In for 500, out for 1700 (plus another $50 in liberated $1 chips).

No disaster hand to end the session. Mrs Bentax showed up as I was dealt Td9d. No pre flop raises, 6 to the flop. Flop was Ts 7d 6d. I bet 30, get one caller. Turn is a Qd. I bet 60, other guy folds. Extra $50 thanks to Mrs Bentax taking a wrong turn getting to the poker room :)

Cashed out 1850. In hindsight, I attribute the success of today's session to breakfast.

If it has not been claimed I will take it.

Should be sleeping as we have to be up relatively early tomorrow for the rugby matches. But of course I had to swing by Aria to say hi to @k9dr. And while I was here, might as well play a little 2/5. First session I've played where I'm not harvesting ;)

Edit: Not a great session, felt way too tired to play well. Card dead most of the night, and when I did get premium starting hands, it felt like I was getting out flopped almost every time. Despite that, I managed to end up ahead $13 after being down almost $300 earlier in the session. So it could have been worse. Still, I'd happily trade that $13 for an extra couple hours of sleep.
