Using AI to design custom chip sets (2 Viewers)

I did some stuff with Google Gemini this past weekend. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a full design, but I think it has some value in getting ideas into an example that a real designer could work with. It seemed to do a better job with the inlay/label than the chips themselves, but I was very basic (i.e., blue $1, red $5, etc.).

I agree with this for the chip design - that part anyone can do with the tools here. Where I feel AI has value is in being able to visualize inlay/label ideas and make adjustments before taking it to a designer. Just playing with this a few days ago, I got a better idea of what I want in my future set(s) and felt being able to visualize things helped me get a clearer picture of what I want. There are plenty of talented people here that I would use for final design work, but I think there is some value in AI for the initial idea phase.

I've use both gemini and ChatGPT for rough ideas, but an artist is always the best for final touches and revisions. My Drunken Dragons were highly conceptualized by AI...

So has its place. It’s just a tool. It’s a great way to help get ideas onto paper. At the end of the day it’s up to you how you want to use it.

So Adobe Illustrator has a ai function in it, so designs you come up with are already in .ai format, I believe. This way you can easily (somewhat) resize and fit onto a chip format. I’ve only used it once so by no means expert…and it is expensive to that ai in Adobe
