Lol... yes these really are unicorns. They are cool as game pieces or tokens. Neat for kids who want to be like mommy or daddy.... and you don’t need to worry about them chewing on your leaded Paulsons.

I used to have a rack of those exact chip; used them as quarters with a Bud Jones V6 CIC Puerto Rico mixed set. They're not a bad blind chip for .25/.25 or .25/.50 games; I'd definitely suggest using them with ceramics or Bud Jones v6/v7; they just clash too much with Paulsons IMO.

Palm Gaming is no longer in business; ABC bought most of their assets.

But I thought GOCC was still making unicorn chips.

If they did then chipco was distributing them, but I think it's the other way around. GOCC was distributing them - kinda like holdempokerchips and BCC T-molds.

As far as I know when PGI bought up Chipco's assets away went the uni's. I seem to remember a convo with Joe about possibly producing some uni's at some point, but never heard back. That's why I thought Chipco must have exclusively made them. You used to be able to buy X number of them by any color right off their site.

I don't think your memory is correct. Game On still has 'em listed on their web site -- available in 23 colors, plain or hot-stamped.
