Turn your acrylic dealer buttons into light up dealer buttons (1 Viewer)

So I got a set of the light up rechargeable LED dealer buttons from @Gavin and I love them. But I also just had a whole bunch of 63mm acrylics from @justincarothers group buy show up and they're too awesome not to want to use. So I thought to myself "Self!" I thought... " Self, why can't I make these awesome buttons also light up?!"

And so I went to amazon and it didn't take long to find a product designed to make bottles and such light up. These aren't rechargable, they take button batteries, and I'm not sure what the effective use time on a set of batteries is. I applied one to my new PCF dealer button and took some pictures. I think it worked out pretty well, and figured some of you might want to know about it as an option.

Do you have to tear the adhesive off to replace the batteries?

Near as I can tell, yes. I imagine it will probably be easier to just replace them as needed. I only just got them in yesterday so haven't had a lot of time to experiment with them yet. Just thought it was too neat not to share yet.

My guess is that a thin piece of tracing paper between the light and the DB will also help diffuse the light. Going to try it on my end.

I'd just try it on your dealer button first
