Hi all,

My wife (The CLB) has been volunteering regularly at the House of Refuge in Mesa, Arizona, and needs help for a fundraising activity they’re undertaking.

I only have a single sample set left of Truman’s House Paulson chips but I’m putting them up for auction to raise money for a very worthy cause.

House of Refuge provides safe, stable, comfortable housing and other services to families that working hard to get back on their feet and eventually move into permanent housing.

They maintain 88 homes in the Valley here that families can pay nominal rent for, and there is a volunteer center that takes in furniture, food, housewares, clothing, and other necessities that are made available free of charge for the residents based on need.

They also offer after school care, job skilling and training, special classes, and other things to help families during tough times.

I will match the winning auction price for the sample set with a donation from myself and Roscoe the Bulldog (our third family member).

You can find more information on the House of Refuge here —> https://houseofrefuge.org

Here’s the chips:

Quarter: Paulson 23, Desert Flower base with Pastel Green + Sherbet Green spots.

Dollar: Paulson 31, White base with Hawaii Flower + Dolphin Blue + Salmon spots.

Five: Paulson 22, Radiant Red base with Day Blue + Peach spots.

Twenty-Five: Paulson 20, Pastel Green base with Metallic Silver + Metallic Gold spots.

Hundo: Paulson 33, Showboat Grey base with Sherbet Orange + Grey spots.

I’m also including commemorative chips from several meetups that I’ve hosted in MA, NH, and AZ.

If you’d like to donate to a fantastic cause and don’t care about the chips, please check out this link:

Thank you everyone!!!

Are those inlay replaced or overlabels?

Also, because CLB does good works, $400.
Replaced labels. They look great in big stacks with lots of the green $25s.

CLB wanted me to tell everyone thank you for the bids thus far. She’s going through some tough stuff with family and when I told her about this thread it was the first time she’s smiled in a week, so I really appreciate it too!

I think everyone looking at this place thinks it’s awesome.

What’s the current activity that they’re working on?
They’re working to open a proper store-type layout where residents can go grab things they need like small furniture items, food, toiletries, kids clothing, etc.

Right now it’s a large indoor area maintained by volunteers but they want to give residents more of the shopping feeling when grabbing goods they need. They have other things going on as well but that’s the one CLB is involved in on weekends.
