I'm looking at getting a DDLM set (500pcs) and am want to know what chip structure to get/is recommended for a 8-10 player tournament?

What I had in mind:

T25 (8/8/6/6/0)
- $25 (100pcs)
- $100 (100pcs)
- $500 (100pcs)
- $1,000 (150pcs)
- $5,000 (50pcs)
- $20,000 Plaques (5pcs) - just for the sake of having some plaques lol

I'm open to adjusting the denominations and quantities for each chip.

Is there any other structure you would recommend?

Can I get away with less chips or are more needed to be safe?

P.S. usually I would use this for tournaments for 6 people, but I figured it would be good to have enough chips to fit 8-10 people in the tournament (for when these occasions arise).

And if I were to have a set of 400 pieces, what structure (denominations and value) should I use? Is there any way to still host 8-10 people with that amount of chips?

I didn’t realize in your other post you didn’t have the set yet.

You can absolutely do it in 400. @Chris Manzoni has a video on how to host a T20K with 350 chips (320 if you don’t award bonuses). You can do that and add 80 extra 5Ks so there are enough chips for a rebuy per person. 80/80/60/60/140. Starting stacks would be 8/8/6/6/2, with rebuys of 0/0/0/0/4.

For color ups:
T25: Use a 5K to color up the 25s and 6 500s.
T100: Use 2 5Ks to color up the 100s and 4 500s.
T500: Use 5 5Ks to color up the remaining 500s.

Thank you for your suggestion @TheRealStephen12 and for the recommending the video. I will go with that format :)

I do have a very entry 400pcs poker set with no denominations, and so I wanted to assign the following suggested values. But I made this post as I want to upgrade my set, and make sure I get the right denominations, quantities etc.
