Comparing cards mold, no mold, and the 43 and 39 mm version of these

I only have five each of the 43s. The no moulds are much worse for spinners, but I have a very small sample size so I don’t know if this is just variance or not

I have 19 39 mm card mould and spinners are barely an issue. Unfortunately, don’t have any 39 mm no moulds to compare with

@justincarothers might have some insight into this.

I haven't handled many Tina chips, but I'd imagine that the no molds would be more prone to spinners than molded chips. I haven't read any complaints about spinners with the newer chips (web molds, etc.).

Have one set of Tina CM's and one set of Tina Hybrids. Neither have any spinners I've seen. The CM's will be in play this weekend. If I see any spinners that day I'll post it here.

My experience is as follows, 39mm no mold are the worst for spinners, not uncommon to get them. Not every pack of 25 will have one, some will have multiple. ParrotheadMZ has a nice set of 43mm no mold and they are fantastic chips. I have a set of card mold that are a few years old, and have zero spinner issues, plus I have a few racks of samples of all of them, and I only have spinner issues with no mold.

I recently ordered 300 chips to add on to that cards mold set from a few years ago, and the new chips are all not as thick as the original. You can see in the pics they they're almost a half chip shorter that the card molds from a few years ago, and almost a full chip shorter than Chipco's.

I had a 39mm cards mold set and a 39mm textured, LG Key set. Both sets started out in great shape but after a lot of play both sets started getting spinners. They also started to fall over in stacks. They started off great but ended up spinner city.

Large Greek Key, which is a larger version of the Greek key design. You most likely can search LGK and get some images to pop up, but, just a larger version of a design that repeats around the outer perimeter of the chip.

Does the spinner city bother you heaps? Like is it super easy to knock over stacks

I have spinners in my Tina No Molds. They don't bother me too much and it doesn't seem to bother any of my players either as noone has mentioned it.

They stack pretty solid so there isn't any wobble or gaps so whatever the imperfection that cause spinners is it's tiny. As far as the actual spinning is concerned they do need you to do something to get them going, they don't spin by just being touched or breathed on, and when they spin they do it around the center so don't fly off or collapse.

I'd much prefer to have no spinners at all obviously but they aren't that bad really.

My experience is that they are less stable, but not in the sense that they fall over if you breathe on them, but more that table jarring will vibrate them out of solid stacks and they tend to move around, requiring more attention.

In reality, it's not critical, just something that bothers me. If several of the spinners end up in the same barrel then the stack can get to be more of a problem.
