Tina Cards Mold- No Mold- Greek Mold- Web Mold Showcase (3 Viewers)

My set came in on the 31st!

Almost missed the duties payment which turned out quite high. Unfortunately that set delivery back to after Christmas but now it’s here!

Right out of the box these feel different than the Web mold sample sets I have from Apache, but maybe it’s because I’ve been shuffling those a lot for five months. Apache’s feel like they have a smoother coating and shuffle better. These in turn make for stickier stacks.

The close up pictures came out a bit more saturated than in real life.

The CDI $500 design definitely looks punchiest in this lineup. I also like the yellow $100 even more than I thought I would.

Can’t wait to put it in play!

I just put my order in for a Sun Mold chip. I then was looking at the showcase of chips tonight, looked through this entire thread. I saw the Sun mold on a real chip for the first time tonight and I'm not sure if I'm still a fan. I see the Jester Mold here, and I'm thinking I might like that better. (I'm not a big fan of the Web or Greek mold). Can anyone talk about the Jester Mold compared to the Sun mold? Do either of these have spinners? (I read in this thread the Web Mold doesn't have spinners).
Thanks

No spinners on hybrids, because spinners occur when the centers of the chips touch. Since there's a recess, no chance of the centers of the chips touching.
I do like the Jester mold, seems nice and grippy with the texture, but I haven't tried the sun mold yet.

Jesters is the best mold IMO for grip, sun is the most slippery and also has a textural feel that might be divisive for those used to other chips. For sure reco samples. I like sun, but it's a more unique mold.

It seems like Jester mold is like a cousin to THC in the sense it is a full circumference minus the mold/stamps for the jester, just like he mold/stamps for the THC in the chip. I love THC so it seems a natural choice to go with Jester. But I don’t want to get it and then a few years from now everyone comparing it to HHM for ceramics.

I have seen a lot sets in here, but no one has posted the PCF Tribute cash set @justincarothers designed, that I really liked. Has anyone else ordered a set of it? I'll have to do a lineup, but for now, here is the set from fracs up to $20's. Textured No Mold. I bought it as my first set in July 2023. It doesn't see as much action these days, but to me it is a tried and true design, from chip colors to the nice easy to read labels.

Received my order from the November 2025 group buy. Overall I'm happy with them and my group seems to like them upon first impression. My only concern is the size of the font of the denominations, I guess the size on the design files didn't translate over to the actual label.

Nice chips!
It's always recommended to print your art for the labels at home, at 100%. Then hold at arms' length to get an idea what you can expect from the final print.

Thanks! I do love how they came out. Also, I swear I did this. Everything looked good as far as I could tell. But yeah, not so much at the end result. That's OK though. That's why I wanted to go with this "cheaper" option for my first attempt at logo design. Now I'll know for next time 🤙🏽

Was the white circle at the edge of your inlay originally? I'm wondering if Tina might have shrunk it down a bit make sure there was enough of a safe zone for cutting imperfections. The chips still look great to me, btw!

No, the logo was just as it looks, with the white circle just inside the edge of the inlay. Looking back, it does appear it was a design flaw on my end and not something on Tina's end. I'll definitely be more aware down the line when I eventually get some custom clay!

I may have missed if this question has been asked and answered but can anyone give me a comparison between the Tina no molds and those offered by BR Pro?

I have ceramics from the latter but haven’t handled the Tina’s. Are they as shiny on the edges? What’s the texture like?

The edges on Tina no-molds are matte, unlike the glossy BRPros.
The texture of the Tina chips is rougher than the standard BRPro blanks, but BRPro also has a cross-hatched texture chip that they use on their Nevada Jack skulls and the Desert Sands and Tina’s no-molds are similar to those.

I love the feel of the regular BRPros. They feel like a river rock or fine sandpaper, and have zero spinners. The Tina no-molds generally have around 1 spinner per barrel.
The Tina no-molds seem to get a bit more slippery with use, but I haven’t seen the BRPros show any issues with wear.

Thanks mate, appreciate the synopsis.
@Colquhoun is spot on.

I really wanted a no mold after my web mold but was concerned about texture and spinners. Samples i had suffered from spinners. My November buy came in and i can report no spinners - 43mm - so nice weight and they have that fine sandpaper feel - no gloss. I am happy with the choice.

Players will quickly adapt and play by color anyhow! They are beautiful.

Ok thanks. I'm switching my order to Jester!
I feel like Jester mold is whimsical, and needs to have the right inlay art. I haven't handled either, but I like the looks of sun mold better. I would probably get samples before I consider an order.

You can skip the dollar sign next time, especially for tournament chips. That’ll save you some room.
This 100%. Did you post your design somewhere here on PCF for feedback? Always a good idea, especially for a first attempt at chip and inlay design.

Thank you! And you're totally right. My group adjusted very quickly and then the denominations didn't even matter.

I did not post my design anywhere here. I found this place like two weeks before the November group buy deadline and I really wanted to get in on that one. I showed the design to my players, that was about it. That was an oversight on my part for sure. But overall, still very happy with them and my group loved playing with them so that's what matters. I'll be more experienced for the next set!

Thanks for the input. It isn't a THC mold, but it will probably be like a Textured No Mold with the Jester cut out. That is sorta what I am looking for. I liked the way the sun mold looked but not actually on the chip, which is why I switched. But I didn't get samples, so I may regret not doing that. I had time, but didn't. Good advice to anyone, get samples.
