Tiger Palace Showcase Thread! (4 Viewers)

Someone needs to relabel Aqua bearclaw into 5k to go with these VIP cash tourney lines. Would look so damn good. Love seeing the tasteful mixes
Broke up this tourney set because we never play tourneys to later buying a tourney set that’s not as nice as this one  thus is chipping.

Are these over labels on ES fracs and that’s why there is a blue colour matching ring? That way the “inlay” is centre and original inlay is covered due to original inlay not being perfectly circular after being pressed?

Hope that made sense…

Yep. That’s how @Gear normally does it. The two on the left are overlabels (with matching outer edge ring), NIT on the right is a full murder or I should say ‘inlay replacement’ per @Wifey preferred parlance, so no ring.

Label example (outer line just shows edge of label size):

Would highly recommend if you’re considering overlabels. I think there’s definitely a benefit to preserving the ‘value’ of a higher end chip in case you want to potentially sell later on. Plus it can be a ton of effort to inlay replace a lot of chips.

GL!

Another piece falls in place, thanks @Kam

I had noticed this on a few chips here and there. I think I like this idea for a 3rd set I’m working on. Always tinkering with the idea on a large inlay on some custom claws, so these over label could really work.

Noted.

Does anybody run the Fat Hats in their games? I've been trying to decide between them and the 43mm.

That's a good idea, I was wondering if a full set of them in play would be overkill?

I use it as a tourney set. It’s my group’s favorite, by far: T100 based, with 40K starting stacks (actually a single table SNG). After the tournament, we use the TP 43mm chips for the cash game. @bluegill has a relabeled cash set, all 48mm.

I had an all-FHC set at one point that I had intended on making into a cash set. Alas, I couldn’t find the motivation to murder and re-label so many chips. I ended up selling them.

They’re huge, but would be cool for a tournament or higher stakes cash set.

Having a few 48mm chips in your stack is very special, in cash or tourney sets. But felting multiple racks of FHCs is a completely different experience, and very cool. Almost hard to go back to using smaller chips for tourneys now. And I absolutely LOVE the TP 43mm secondary tourney set, but we’ve never used it for tourneys… we just use it for our cash game after the SNG.

Only issue with FHs in general, IMO, is putting together a decent size tourney (or cash) set isn’t cheap.

Those looks great in play, do you use them scaled down for cash games?
Unfortunately they are not mine but I was able to borrow the set from a friend. We only played a couple tournaments with them before I sent them back to their original owner. It was an experience for sure, like playing with dinner plates. Pretty sweet.

I just want to go on record requesting either a 39 or 43mm version of the RPC T100 for the next NAGB. Aria 5k!

Both answers are wrong. The 4d14 red for the $5. Either $100 would look fine.

Keep the claw. The cotton candy nature of the non claw doesnt fit with the brighter colors of the the other chips.

Tiger palace taught me theres multiple kinds of bright lol.
