So in order to get the cali denoms/colors I wanted, I maaay have ended up with more than I was initially planning to get, especially on the $5s (like a couple racks extra). Most games will likely be $0.50/$1, however I do want to be able to scale up to $2/$5 if I am able to get the right game going. Also since this is a grail set for me, will use for years and don’t want to look back and regret not getting ‘hard’ to find chips now which may be impossible in 5/10 years. I always prefer moar chips on the table vs shorter /easier to manage stacks anyway.

#juniorBOOYAH
100 x $0.25 = $25
200 x $1 = $200
600 x $5 = $3,000
240 x $25 = $6,000
60 x $100 = $6,000
= 1,100 set = $15,225 Bank

Despite my best efforts, I’ve been unable to shake loose a barrel of the glorious alt-$500 orchid, would like for the bank on the off chance there’s a deep $2/$5. If I add a barrel of $500s,
20 x $500 = $10,000 = Total $25k bank

My favorite standalone Tiger is the $2 mexican rose, so thinking of relabeling this as a $500:

Oooo these blurples. My wife walked by my mini-photo shoot, ‘do I even want to know what you’re doing?’. My response, ‘cheatin’ on you’.

Rest of the Tiger set is in the mail from Canada :)

The gang's all here lol (minus the rack of $25s coming from @TheLegend).

Set accommodates 76 people seated for the T1 starting stack 500 or 40 with T25 starting stack 20k. This does mix $25s and $100s across both sets but we're all just playing for fun so I don't think that's too big of a deal.

Yellow bearclaws will be $1ks and aqua bearclaws will be $25ks when the folks at Gear come back from vacation. Orchid $2 is the bounty/rebuy chip.

I wish I didn't buy the gold $1ks and the fracs... The 1ks will be used as colorups for the T1s until I get some primary 500s. Fracs have no use.

Next on my list for Fall 2025 is ~200 black NCVs, ~140 orange $500s, ~260 yellow NCVs, and a barrel of pink $5000s, to also have a 80player T25 set.

I like how for the upper denominations the bearclaws repeat every other color. Also would be cool if the white $1s were #27-3TA316 (like the VIP1s or VIP2s) because then the 1s and 5s would have the same pattern and the 25s and 500s would have the same pattern.

Still undecided on a target 39mm $100k chip (I don't need one, purely a want). Likely will be the $100 Secondary $100.

Kinda went a little apeshit there didn't ya fella!?!? :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO: No wonder you are selling those Tina's! 40k in TP's must have been a rough decision. How quickly did you put this together??

Last question, you put on tournaments for 70 people??:wow: Fantastic set! Very impressive but feeling a bit less excited about my 500 chip set :cautious:

I was thinking similar but didn't know how to put it. Quite a collection, and quite a commitment to pull it all together. 70 people tourneys too? Wow!

No wonder you are selling those Tina's!

I bought those before I realized that I could probably just buy Tigers. It was shortly after I bought apache plaques for $9/plaque that I realized that tiger chips go for about the same price.

The "Ken Price" would have been $30,620. I paid $33,063. Most of the premium was allocated to the $25s, of which I paid on average ~$902/rack for. The $5s on average were $788/rack. I paid slightly below Ken pricing on the yellow NCVs, $1s, & pink $5ks and below Ken pricing on the $1,000 gold chips.

You never know if there will be another rack of primary $5s or $25s available on the classifieds so whenever I saw them I scooped them up.

There were lots of unsolicited PMs to folks that posted about Tigers anytime within the last year. I could've casted a wider net but I figured anyone who had them for more than a year either has sold already or intends to keep them. First chip was bought back in October and the most recent was bought last week.

70 people tourneys too? Wow!

Yea it's a University club, entirely free to play too. I would host a meet-up for people here but I don't have the facilities (can't use campus to run events) and I don't want to host in the sense that Canadian Law doesn't permit hosting tournaments (even with no rake). The club gets away with it because there are no bets placed or income/donations/incidental sales collected, but a meetup would have bets and that's against Canadian law.

feeling a bit less excited about my 500 chip set :cautious:

Don't fret, every Tiger collection is special I'm sure your friends appreciate it when you bring them out. Also, it's easier to grow smaller collections in the sense that an additional rack is a big deal; for large collections an additional rack might not see felt time. Smaller sets are also more flexible; if you wanted to change your $1s or $5s it is easy, but if I wanted to I would have to find another 800 chips...

I’m sorry to inform you that the chip efficiency police have advised that for a 76 person T1 tourney set, you only need 8 barrels of the Secondary blaze $500’s, and should probably just sell the 9th barrel to a needy PCFr ;)

I’m just glad you built this behemoth with mostly primaries, otherwise between you and @GodStillBlesses there would be nuthin’ left ;)

This grail collection has been curated, courtesy of PCF members answering the Horn of Valere. Or my Wanted ads. Thanks to @kk405 for making it happen and all the PCFrs who helped me build it.

Either way, this is the Cuban, baby. This set is the Cohiba, the Montecristo. If it were any smarter, it would write a book. A book that would make Ulysses look like it was written in crayon. This Tiger would read it to you. This is @JeepologyOffroad ’s Eiffel Tower, this is his Rachmaninoff’s Third, his Pieta. It’s completely elegant. It’s baffling beautiful… and it’s capable of converting Vegas style diehards to the Cali promised land. I present to you, my Tiger Palace Secondary Cali cash set in BOOYAH size!

How you snagged that many $25s is truly impressive.

So I asked my friends about a potential VIP 2 and 43MM Lineup, and the overwhelming consensus was that the VIP2 and 43MM lineup is better. Just when I thought I finished the collection lol... time to buy some samples.

Just curious. How are you able to create this visual? Are you using a link found in the resources section?

Great sets! Which chips would be easier to track down, Primary .25 cent, or the canary yellow NCVs? Slowly building a cash set and I'm wondering which are less difficult to track down.
