Nice. And to think you first only wanted to buy 1 barrel of yellow solid CSQ chips to add for upper denoms, until I convinced you to buy 2. Let me know when you're going to put in an order for more barrels. ;) #chipsetbankplanning
 
Terrific thread @louBdub! It’s really awesome getting to see your journey into chipping and hosting take flight. One can see your passion in just about every post. :cool
You mentioned about where you might be ten years from now, I think there are several here who will be watching and wondering for a long time. ;)

Will be adding the “334 Club” to the long list of places I hope to sit and eventually splash pots at some point.

It can be a pricey endeavor for sure. But it’s like I ask/tell people all the time, how do you put a price on love?

Just found this thread and scrolled through the whole thing. Awesome job so far @louBdub !

But someone seriously has to say it... post #4.... bro did you seriously oil an entire set of ABS plastic chips? Oiling is for clay chips, not plastic... clay has pores as you would for the oil to infiltrate the surface of the chip. Plastic, is formed as a liquid and fills like an expoy of sorts. There is basically no where for the oil to go! If it made them look better and probably did because it gives them a wet look. But ALL of that oil.will be coming back off, rather on a rag, your table top, in your racks or on your hands.

Not a big deal I guess but Brie and I had a good laugh this morning.

It's ok, we ALL know in time eventually the plastic will probably be leaving, once the boys get used to clay, it is hard to go back to plastics. Brie and I still own 3 sets, but none of them ever hit the felt.

Haha! The plastic left the moment I touched my CPC CSQs - thx @GenghisKhan

It was good practice, and now, I’m pretty sure I can go toe to toe LouBing things up with anyone on PCF. My ocd and prior “wet work background” gives me solid lube experience and means I’m all in on getting juicy. :cool

But, I no longer own a single plastic chip, PCF has shown me the clay rabbit, and I chased….

(falling down a hole somewhere)
 
I mostly play with B&Gs (low stakes limit set great for learning new circus games). Funny, my casual poker crew likes it for the heavy weight. Will be a year before my custom CPC limit set arrives…
