can take someone’s photos. Whether submitted or not
Alter them slightly
Then claim copyright?
Thanks.
I’ll take my answer off the air.

Submitters have an option to remain anonymous.Did you require them to submit their information and then allow them to remain 'anonymous' on the Chip Guide, or did you just take the submission anonymously?
WTF BRO!?!?!? [sends internet punch to dick]Oh, so now Alabama starts speaking up!
An investigation revealed that the individual who submitted the image made an error. They have the plaque in their collection and submitted the wrong image.
I am not here to get legal, that is the last thing that I want to happen.
Someone else submitted the image and wished to remain anonymous.
Just to clarify, the following are not TRK chips either. They do, however, belong to their respective US and US-based ChipGuides (two VERY separate entities):![]()
Yup. Just found that out about 10 minutes ago. Consider me surprised.
I'm not.....I just can't take any of this seriously.
Chip Guide is a nice resource, but this "we own your stuff because you or someone else who wants to remain anonymous because they stole it from you" crap is laughable.
Is anyone taking this seriously?

And @ChipGuide has chosen to remain anonymous here, refusing to answer any questions regarding identity or actual authority. I'm starting to see a connection....Submitters have an option to remain anonymous.

I think this was all started by the lawyers on this forum as a way to stir up some business. I'm scared. I even went and threw away the rest of the potato ch_ps that were in the pantry. I don't want to get busted!I just can't take any of this seriously.
