Things That Are Bullsh*t (68 Viewers)

It's like when the AC in the house breaks and you have to get a new one. Not fun and pretty damn expensive but thankful we have them. Some houses have more than one so you have to sleep in the rooms that have AC while the other gets fixed.
Move to a climate that doesn’t use them!

I’m still burning fires in my fireplace in the evenings and overcast days.

Oh don’t worry we have that too. We cant use our AC or heat for basement/first floor.

Found out that it’s not ventilated to outside, so as it burns all of those great chemicals are pouring right out into our home.

Turned off til hvac folks to come out and cut/fit piping.

Edit - I’d LOVE to know how the home inspector doesn’t check this. It’s supposedly a rather large no no and is actually supposed to be red tagged.

It's probalby due to growing up in the south but my body is better at dealing with the AC running most of the time than the heater.. that plus I can go outside and do some cardio for a nice sweat 10 months out of the year lol.

For sure, the quality of home inspectors varies so greatly. We've always tried to get some good recommendations for thorough ones and not ones realtors recommend because they make it an easy sell. It's hard to tell the difference until after they are done so recommendations from those who have bought and inspected recently helps.

People who don’t pull up to the traffic light during a red light. They are so far back that they are not touching the stop plate in order to activate the light change. In most instances, the light will not change. It drives me nuts to see it.

This could be an entire thread. There is no shortage of weapons grade stupid on the roads - lol.

Worse, the moron that pulls up past the "stop" line, preventing trucks from making a left hand turn.

That's deflation actually. One quarter of a cent...
Yea you're right. I was more referring to that's how much a quarter feels like now a day.

I'm guessing casinos do that to make it painfully clear that it's a fractional chip. It's just common to not be on purpose.

That is a mightly fine looking chip though. I would love a rack of those.

I don't know how that thing below is called in American (or any) English, but it sure attracts spoiled youngsters who don't care about anybody's lives, including, of course, theirs:

They are even more offensive than people who insist on riding bicycles on main roads.
Horses and horse-drawn or ox-drawn carriages are anyway banned, and it's high time those things, including bicycles, were banned too from any through-traffic road.

A new Law Bill is coming up in Greece, requiring insurance and a minimum age of 15, which IMHO, is inadequate without a ban on main roads.
I was an avid biker as a youngster, till the city AND the suburbs of Athens got too crowded with people driving to making a living, and not for fun.

We call them scooters. But we call a few things scooters. A Vespa is also a scooter. And then old folks might use a scooter to get around, a 3 or 4 wheeled motorized chair. But it’s not a wheelchair.

Just a Newbie, doesn’t matter that much, slightly annoying, and of course is bullshit. And I also see it happen in other people’s threads as well. I just don’t understand the mindset, start your own thread FFS.
Yeah I edited same thing. I don’t think all the unspoken rules and etiquette are super blatant to new folk.

Long before I was ever a dick I made some similar mistakes here and there when first joining.

oooooo found it!

Kinda funny looking back. Some guy missed out on roulettes, so I as a new member plugged a potsie listing of roulettes. The chip room wasn’t happy and multiple folks told me that was a faux pas.

How times change! Mentioning another vendor on page 11 of a sold out TCR sale was bad back then  :ROFLMAO:

Maybe that’s why Jim ships everything in loose bags and sent me all the worst bike tires of IGs possible.

How times change, I’d plug potsie in the same spot again nowadays, but it’d be intentional and no apologies.

Not so surprisingly, not everything is about you
And of course I somehow made it about me
