Things That Are Bullsh*t (57 Viewers)

Here's some bullshit. Someone is using BW chips and making Facebook Reels looking like they're crushing it at a casino.

I know you're confused. You have the chips he's looking for but didn't sell them to him @ $15/chip. That's some BULLSH*T!!!

Q: What happened to me?

A: I've already sold the ones he wanted under $10/chip to some fine members here. I have 500 WTHC leftover but their denominations are 25 thru 5k, not what he's looking for. I'll gladly sell them to you though at $13/chip. You claim they're worth more than $18/chip so I expect a PM shortly : )

I'm convinced that's a troll account. Not even close to worth your reply.

Have you ever been literally a 99% favorite on the flop in PLO and lost? I have now. :ROFLMAO:
You're talking one of two cards on the turn and a one-outer on the river? Literally runner-runner perfect? So you had quads and he went runner-runner for a straight flush? Or you made a straight flush and he went runner-run we for a higher straight flush/royal?

Yeah, runner-runner perfect. I opened on the BTN and villain 3bet, then cbet flop and I just called. To be fair he had better equity on the turn when stacks went in, but still it's rare to be 99% on the flop. K/8 river and we split, such a greedy villain.

We change the clocks twice a year to get the daylight when we need it. If we didn't change the clocks our kids would go to school in the dark half the year.
Yanno what I did last night? Went to bed a little earlier than I would on a Saturday. Woke up just fine.
He's not the representative for where I live, but I have a good professional relationship with the Congressman for where I work. I once told him to his face, "If Congress ever changes how we do Daylight Saving Time, I'll burn the fucking Capitol down myself."
Die on that hill? Sure, after I carpet bomb it first.

Spoken like a true Flordia man.

Meanwhile, in more northern climates, kids go to school in the dark and come home in the dark. The dark isn't that scary. The 6% spike in fatal accidents the week following the time change is more of a concern than a little darkness.

Last Friday, the sun was up when the kids went to school. Sunrise was 6:58 a.m.

Today, the sun doesn't rise until 7:53 a.m.

The kids go to school in the dark because of daylight savings time.

The sun won't rise before 7 a.m. again until April 9, about a month before school gets out.

Daylight Savings Time results in more sun in the evening (at the cost of less sun in the morning). Most kids are not in school in the evening.

Easy on the Florida man stuff, I live in Orlando, I'm FROM Philly. So if you wanna say "Spoken like a true 700 Level guy at the Vet", I'd own that.
But in Florida we have the worst drivers from everywhere else. Just standing at a bus stop in the dark is dicey. Our high schoolers go in first and they go in the dark most of the year. Maybe move the spring change back into late March and maybe everybody'd be happier.
Thought up north the kids are in school until mid-June @WedgeRock ?

The whole kids in the dark argument is not compelling IMO. The time change actually puts them in the dark on one end or the other twice a year. Also, the goal of this antiquated, twice yearly time shift bullshit was to save energy (which it does not do by the way), not provide some nebulous protection to bus riding kids, if that is even true at all. While it provides more light in the evening, the "spring forward" change results in darker mornings, forcing many children to wait for buses in low-light conditions, increasing risks of vehicle pedestrian accidents.

Regardless, if we want to talk about safety, does the minimal amount of perceived protection, if any, provided to the bus riding kids override the quantifiable 24% increase in heart attacks on the Monday after the spring transition? Or the higher rates of strokes, suicide, depression, and anxiety? Not to mention the already noted and documented 6% increase in fatal accidents during the week after the change. Anecdotally, just listening to the radio this morning, heard many more accidents being reported than normal by the traffic folks.

So, sorry kids, but buy a flashlight and reflective vest because DST is complete bullshit and needs to be stopped. I don't care which time they want to select or whether they just want to chop it at 30 minutes...but it has to go!
