Overall, I ended up enjoying the first season. I thought the episodes improved weekly despite the plodding start. I REALLY liked the length of the episodes as well. 70+ minutes was nice from a pacing perspective.

So the new season has started, three episodes released so far… I remain sorely disappointed but will slog through to the end. Bad dialogue, mostly bad acting, slow pacing, ridiculous or just unnecessary departures from Tolkien lore… All the same problems as s1.

Anyone else bothering with this?

Kudos and props to anybody still watching this and giving it a chance. I don't think I made it through one episode. Random people in random places and I had no idea why anybody was doing any of it. I watched my extended LOTR trilogy DVDs and all was right with the world again.

Why watching s2. S1 was terrible.
