I haven’t put mine in yet, but I suspect that the natural oils from hand will suffice.

Has anyone oiled the snappers?

I don't plan on oiling mine

I'm planning to leave mine as is. They have only had a bare minimum of handling in an open environement, so I don't think any oil is needed. Maybe in the future.
