Looking through this thread makes me think hoarders are worse than flippers lol, at the least the flippers release chips back into the wild.

Not everybody with a large collection falls into one of those two categories -- some of us practice "catch and (eventual) release".

My list of previously-owned sets is easily ten times longer that the list of sets I currently own.

Oh I know there are more than just those two categories, and there are actually only a few chippers in those two.

Even though I can’t afford all the chips I want anyway, I get a little envious seeing massive hoards of chips that (in a few cases) get stashed away. This always wanting more chips is a curse

Was just flicking through this thread and I couldn’t help but notice what’s hiding in the top right corner of your gargantuan hoard. I didn’t realise you were challenging @k9dr in the race to obtain all of the Hof sets.

BTW, a year and a half later, those shelves are absolutely filled, without me bringing any racks in from the chip shelves in the other room. And that's despite me actually selling a few sets. The special anti-Viagra-like pills that are supposed to kill chip-buying urges are not working...

Time for an updated family photo shoot. Several sets have changed since I pulled them all out, but overall the collection has grown. I didn’t have enough room to fit them all in racks for the first time!

The chip collections on this forum are absolutely amazing. Some of you have more invested in chips than I make a year. Others might have collections worth my house. Very impressive and terrifying for someone just getting into the hobby.
