Oh boy, I have a project! Anyone who has tried to clean these before knows that the ultrasonic is no match for the Nevada Lodge $1s. Nothing but a ton of scrubbing, elbow grease, and sore hands are going to bring these filthy chips back to life!

(200 generic magic erasers arrived the other day....armed and ready for the task)

They’re Macon County $5s, really similar though yours look like a peach instead of light pink edge spot and 4d14 vs 3d14

Nah. I already have 8 racks of those. Decided I wanted some $1s to match some excellent condition casino used $5s too.
Besides, after the last "reconditioning" project...that guy doesn't talk to me any longer. I think he has both physical and PTSD-related scars from the experience.

Aww c'mon Mel it's good bonding time, tiny bit of oxi clean + a couple drops of oxi based laundry soap really does wonders and doesnt damage the colors (I know oxi isn't everyone's bag)
Anywho, congrats on the pick up! Wish I could help ya clean some of em!

Arm and hammer is the best, however any (preferably unscented) brand will work. They're all about the same results wise

Yeah I used the oxi detergent on the last couple racks of Ash st we did, huge difference in the amount of time it took breaking down the crusted in gunk

I hand cleaned TRKs with no problems using Oxi

Small doses, like a teaspoon of oxi in 6 cups of water. Never had an issue with TRKs, but we also don't soak them more then a barrel at a time and not ive 10 mins in the water (mostly for the labels staying dry)

Ahhh A&H oxi detergent. Got it. Now nub talk here ... powder or liquid? How much? And is it true if you don't use it, you lose it? Oh wait... I mean, can oxi fade your chips if you leave them submerged to long. (nailed it)

Oxi clean powder, oxi clean based laundry detergent liquid.
I'm sure if you leave chips in a strong oxi solution for a long time it could, we've never had an issue. They finish dry, but as soon as they are oiled right back to a beautiful shine. I have a pic somewhere I'll add to the bottom. Also, with oxi clean powder be sure to dissolve all the "crystals" before putting your chips in, small crystals can leave little white dots on the coloured part of the chips. (Haven't personally had this experience but I've read other's posts that have)
