That TV series is a joke !

The Mandalorian was cool .... But what are they doing to Boba ?
Disney should stop destroying the saga

Chapter 3, "The Streets of Mos Espa" delivered the stupidest "car" pursuit ever at 15 mph

Star Wars to me is 3 movies... and Rogue One if I'm in a good mood.

Otherwise it's original trilogy or nothin'.

Lucas put a hole in the hull with the prequels. Disney sunk the ship with the sequels. Force float... dafuq? What a shit show.

I keep hearing mixed reviews on it. People either love it or hate it. I haven't heard anyone that was in the middle of the road with it.

I feel the same. Rogue one is the only film that I can enjoy. But I don't go out of my way to watch it.

I enjoyed the first two episodes, but this most recent episode was very weak. Odd time for them to mail it in with a filler episode when it felt like there needed to be some significant developments at this stage of the season. Also, the British cyberpunk scooter gang was totally out of place and felt like something they did to placate a studio exec who demanded it be included.

Hopefully they get things back on track. I'd like to see a bit more action with Boba. I think Temuera Morrison is a solid actor when they let him play a "strong silent type." Having him sitting around in a bathrobe delivering lines of exposition doesn't do it for me.

The Tusken Raiders flashbacks are annoying.. because so far is the only interesting part of the show ...
I would prefer to have it in a full episode instead of the flashbacks.
Makes it really hard to follow.

How it should have gone so far:

Episode 1: We see all of Boba's underlings coming to pay homage to him at Jabba's Palace. The Mayor's envoy disrespects him, so Boba goes into the city kicks some serious ass, but gets wounded and has to go into his bacta tank at the end of the episode.

Episode 2: Flashback showing how Boba got out of the Sarlacc pit and comes into contact with the Tusken Raiders. This flashback gets interrupted when he gets pulled from the tank by Black Krrsantan (the big Wookie) and beaten within an inch of his life before managing to fight him off. We then get all of the information about the different criminal syndicates that are now fighting over Tattoine. Boba then goes back into the bacta tank because of his serious injuries.

Episode 3: Boba spends the episode in the tank healing and having a flashback showing us the rest of his time with the Sand People. The episode ends with him coming to the realization who is the primary antagonist is.

So far the narrative has just been to back and forth when dealing with the timelines while also constantly introducing new characters.

Enjoying it very much. Not every episode is going to be Luke Skywalker showing up - but the Tuskin storyline and the train action sequence were both stellar.

It is true - no one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans, and I always consciously steer away from that neck-beard / in-cel mentality. It's a fun space fantasy with characters that are grounded and storylines less so. I'm here for all of it.

Give The Mandalorian a try if you haven’t seen it. It’s a western!

I enjoy the property's efforts to flesh out the world, and would rather them take stabs at new live-action shows to see what works and what doesn't.

First episode was killer. Even my wife (who is not into Star Wars or sci fi in the slightest) enjoyed it. Second was good, not as strong. This third one (currently watching) is a huge drop off. Fingers crossed the remaining episodes are stronger. I definitely am not a hater (I even enjoy the prequels) but things went from “this feels classic Star Wars” to “they’re trying too hard.”

On a separate note, the main theme and it’s 11/4 time is awesome.

Lol when we watched it the whole time I was telling my wife this is like a 60’s western, like Wagon Train or Gunsmoke. On Wagon Train They were going from the east to the west, but I’ve watched episode where they dealt with Canadian Mounties and then the next one they are dealing with Central American Mayans. I don’t know who was leading that wagon train but they were on a convulated course.

He’s the reluctant hero, like The Outlaw Josey Wales. It took me a bit to realize but then I exclaimed, “Oh! It’s a western!”

Yeah, no idea what they were thinking putting in a bunch of rebellious teens driving colorful bikes. Guess they're trying to appeal to a younger crowd or something, but just didn't fit with the grittier expectation of someone being a crime boss in the desert.

Although whoever is washing those bikes did a killer job given the conditions they drive in.

No money for water... but super clean bikes. Hahahahahaha

Boba training with the Tuskin sand people was cool but the rest of the show makes him look like a fool. He also gets his ass kicked quite a bit for a crime lord. I will keep watching but i'm not too happy about it.

Longest flashback ever (finally)

However... Did I get it right? "Slave I" have been renamed "Firespray" ????

Firespray is the model of ship, and Boba Fett refers to it as "my Firespray gunship" (IIRC). I think there's a purposeful avoidance of referring to it as Slave I anymore but I dunno if in-universe the ship name has been changed.

I haven't watched the show yet so my opinion means nothing, but I haven't really had any excitement toward this one yet. I'll probably binge it when it's done. I thought The Mandolorian was fine, but my Star Wars complaint has been pretty consistent throughout the years.

This is a galaxy far far away, with tons of different planets, eras, characters, and source material to create new shows or movies with, yet we always end up in basically the same time period or two, with the same ol' Skywalker characters around, and largely on desert planets. My favorite thing to come out of all of Star Wars altogether were the KOTOR games, so maybe I just want to see some of that, but I think it's time to get creative instead of just relying on our nostalgia. Don't get me wrong, seeing Luke wreck shit in the last show was great, so I'm a little hypocritical there, but come on.

TLDR:

It’s the worst thing something like this can be - it’s just kinda boring. The storyline is shitty. So much they could’ve done with this character too.
