The “Official”JeepologyOffroad HipHop thread (2 Viewers)

One of those classics that’s on erryones play list (including NBA Street vol 2, one of the goats), and even if you hear it too much you just can’t skip it when it comes on.

I know the song word for word but don’t know what he says after “hair-do and ~~?” Pain? Payin?

I have some friends from back in the day that rap

JL was my friends younger brother. I used to work at their dads store in Norfolk

I knew ninjaface in highschool. He was a thug back then

I also knew a guy who had a K-pop rap album. He used some of my rhymes for a cameo on some girls song too. But he didn’t “make” it but acted like he did when he came home. He became a jerk so we dropped him. Heard he works with timbaland now. I dunno if it’s true. He’s still an a-hole

My wife once made Timbaland a sandwich when she worked at Schlotzkys bitd. She grew up right by Salem.

Oh word. I used to like schlotzkys but they're all gone now.

your wife went to Salem High? ...what class? I was 96'

She didn't. Left Salem Middle in 8th. You may have been there with her brother though. He was your same age.

One of the WaB 2026 nights should be boy band baby making music night. Or any songs/videos that would be awkward to have playing in the background with suggestive lyrics after I jam all in on the river and stare across the table deeply into your eyes and soul.

Do I have the nuts? Is it another horrid bluff? Do I want to have your baby!?

For hip-hop historians, Will has been back in the booth in what seems to be a reawakening of his hip-hop artistry. I love hip-hop, battle rap, and rap in general. Not a fan of the newer generations of rap cause the younger kids don’t really have substance. Anywho, this Will Smith session was pretty cool. Listen for yourself. Listen for him with the jab at Chris Rock too!

Ooooooooo. There’s nothing better than stumbling on something you haven’t heard and then googling, and being like oh. Okay. 10 years ago. Couple hundred million people know. :ROFLMAO:

Oh and J Cole goat

Someone hosting a meetup needs to rent an ice cream truck and pull up bumping this.

It’s funny, plus ice cream for the weekend. Gotta have those flintstone push pops and teenage mutant ninja turtle faces with the gum eyeballs.

Bubble-O-Bill and Frogger my dude.
Kick it old school and keep it old school…
I may have had to google the bubble o bill….

Gotta have the cap guns and Mexican chili powder too. Not sure if that’s a locality thing, but strange to think all the little kids buying chili powder seasoning to lick off their hands.

Kids looking at Pharrell and Kanye today can’t comprehend how they were in some way connected to almost every single hit song (banger or not) for the 2000s.

Insanity that this was 2 decades ago. My bad knee says a cold front is moving in.

There’s some songs you just have to like, from every genre. Don’t see how anyone could hate on Tribe here:

The Wood had a great soundtrack. Iirc took a bus from high school to a girls crib to watch it, her momma came home from work early, I had to run out back and scale a LARGE concrete wall, and then hide out and wait 20 mins for my nana to pick me up.

First time i heard Bonita - it was like discovering a whole new genre of music..amazing.

At age 11, my son had memorized Tribe’s - Left My Wallet… - i used to randomly say “oh no - i forgot it” - he would respond “..got to get it, got, got to get it”
