Headed to Tempe, AZ and looking for some ideas around there and the rest of Phoenix. Could be things to do, places to eat etc. I see Talking Stick and Casino Arizona aren't too far away either.

Kid friendly and grown up ideas are appreciated. Ages 6, 4, 3 and 6mos.

We may check out ASU vs CAL Men's bball since tickets for Suns/Bucks might be tough to come by. Will also likely take all the kids to Legoland as well as the Children's Museum.

Pool at the hotel should work for your group.

OdySea and More
Check out the Arizona Boardwalk! The OdySea Aquarium was awesome! Kids would love it! + they have all kinds of other fun things to do in there as well! Had a lot of fun there with the kids a few years ago!

Riparian Preserve is a nice hike.

Desert Botanical Gardens - get there at 6:30p for the night walk or first thing when they open in the morning.

Check out Barrio Bread in Gilbert on Tuesdays. Gotta get there RIGHT when they open - their bread goes fast but it’s amazing and won a James Beard award last year.

Tempe Improv has great comedy shows in a cozy venue with good drinks.

Get breakfast at Daily Dose off Rio Salado adjacent to the Tempe Marketplace. Get the banana bread french toast. It’s absolutely amazing.

Bunch of great breweries in the valley - Arizona Wilderness is our favorite.

Heritage District in Gilbert and downtown Chandler have a bunch of good bars and restaurants. Downtown Tempe and Mill Avenue have some great college bar and sports bar type places. Mill Avenue has some interesting local goods to shop for too.

Puttshack in Scottsdale is a fun family place - think technology enabled indoor mini golf.

Hayden Butte Preserve (“A” Mountain - cause it’s got a big ass A on it) is a good hike, pretty steep but incredible views up top.

Papago Park is a nice walk.

Find a place with good churros and pig out.

Poker wise you don’t want to go Casino Arizona 101. It’s just a casino. Casino Arizona at Talking Stick is more of a resort with poker. If you want 6/12 mixed, go to Lone Butte Gila River. Lone Butte might be closer to you at Tempe.
