I apologize in advance for my blockheadedness. I have read all the threads on tournament structure and chip breakdowns, but am too dense to extrapolate the info found there. I am trying to determine if I need to add on in the upcoming Jack sale. This what I bought in the first go-round sufficient for an 18-20 person tournament with a rebuy in the first hour:

250 x T25
250 x T100
100 150 x T500
100 x T1000
50 x T5000
800

What, if anything, should I shoot for on Sunday? Do I need more T1000 chips.

Thank you for your time.

20 more T1000 would be ideal IMO. Although highly unlikely that you’d have all 20 players rebuy, with the extra 20 chips you’d have enough to offer one rebuy or add on for each player next time. Color ups included

Thank you. That's what I thought. Leaves an awkward chip total though.

A couple thoughts.

Get 50 T1000. To do an 12/12/5/6 setup for T1000 you need another 20 at a minimum for starting stacks but another 30 beyond that colors up the T25 and T100 nicely.

Also consider accommodating a 30 player 8/8/4/7 setup. Then you would need about 20 more T500 and 180 more T1000.

Just a couple thoughts, I would to 50 T1000 for sure, but thought I would point out if you go further you are close to a good 30 player set.
